I rarely write reviews but felt I had to for Northern Hills. This used to be a GREAT course and it used to cost around $35. I played there last month and this place has gone downhill fast over the last year. The fairways had way too many bald spots and there were a lot of "under construction" areas. I know the city recently took over this course so Im hoping it is in a transition phase. But as of now, $50+ for a round is just way too much for the condition its in. There are much better deals in town. Please fix the course and Ill be happy to return!

This is the worst course the city has to date. The staff is anything but friendly the course is in very poor condition the greens are non- existence and the fairways are more like a cow pasture.On top of that they are charge the same rate as Cedar Creek. Dont waste your money. Worst maintain course the city has. You can play Canyon Springs for the same money and you get a much better course.

I called to make a tee time. Pete was so rude. I asked him why there were spots on golf now but it was showing as reserved on his schedule. He said "I dont know." I said "Okay, let me call you back." Then he slams the phone to hang up on me. Douche. I am not playing there if they hire people who cannot be pleasant over the phone. Worst customer service ever!

Sean Hule, I didnt deal with Pete, but his lack of customer service must be passed down to his employees. Today was treated quite rude by the counter person while checking in. Cancelled my T time never to return. BAD BAD Customer service. Plenty of other great golf courses in San Antonio to give my money to. This will not be one of them.

July 12, 2016- The course lacked any interesting holes other than the first, and back nine was extremely boring. However, the greens were in excellent condition. For a course that looked pretty dry on the surface, the greens were receptive and smooth.

Great location but may feel empty at times. You go inside and not a single person is there except for in the shop which is beautiful but all the way in the back.

Been there twice and going to be 3 times tomorrow. I have a 2pm tee time. Everyone was nice to me and the course is nice.The Front 9 is harder than the back 9.

We had my son in laws birthday party in the view room, it was AWESOME. The room was perfect, the staff was excellent. It was overall a great experience.
