Very unusual and offbeat, place to visit.I actually enjoyed the park next to the show house more than the actual show museum. It was interesting to see what one mans dreams were, but disappointing that it has become so run down. I called before visiting, but no one answers the phone, so we took a chance and went anyway. It was open, and a young man was very friendly, and told us the background story of the Orange show, so that was nice. We did not visit the Beer can house as I had hoped, as we were under the impression it was near the orange museum, which it apparently is not. The park next door was very nice to see. Lots of pottery, and jewels, and various materials used to make art. Fun to look at this art.

OK, this is NOT TO BE MISSED, YALL. Houston landmark of weird and wonderful creativity. We went with kids which was the way to do it; they absolutely loved exploring and discovering all the parts of it. Their pleasure was half of mine but its enjoyable in its own right too. Definitely check out Smither Park, too, right next door, which is free - the mosaics are beautiful and the swings a ton of fun. "Time for oranges!"

Fun wonderland of outsider art featuring--you guessed it--the Orange. Jeff McKissack, a postal worker and hobby welder, used concrete, rebar, mosaic tiles, found objects and recycled materials to create this not-to-be-missed Houston gem. You can spend 30 minutes to 2 hours touring the site, which includes a new park at the end of the block featuring a wall of mosaic art and an amphitheater.

Spent my some time here doing community service here as a teenager... I use to marvel at the craftsmanship... the time there lead to my deep love of all things art! Thank you Orange show even after these many years

Really one-of-a-kind place. A mailman with a love of oranges created a monument to the fruit. I wish there were a little more to it for the $5 entrance fee, but still very cool.

Public, recycled art displays along a small park amidst a community. Water bottles, plates even empty nail polish is used to create the most unique art Ive ever seen.

I literally found this place by typing for directions from "The Shire" to "Mordor" in Google maps. Apparently, Google thinks this place is Mordor.

Excellent quirky place to visit if youre in Houston. $5 entry and you dont need much time - its the size of a housing plot.
