I understand this is a municipal course but that doesnt mean the staff has to be rude. The first time I played this course I was approached at my truck by the starter. I didnt even have my bag out of the truck and was told there was a two some waiting on the first tee box for my friend and I. We hurried over to the first tee to see there was a line of golfers waiting for us- a pair of golfers that had already hit and a foursome waiting behind them. Not sure why they were waiting for us. There are no tee times and we had only been at the course long enough to pay and drive the cart to my truck. I play golf to relax and have a good time. It was a bad start to the day. Although the course layout wasnt great I had a decent time and decided to try the course again. The second time I played I was approached by a course marshall on the 10th tee. He was selling burgers about 150 yards away and drove over as we got out of our cart to show us the course rules. He specifically asked if we had read the rule about staying on the cart path around greens and tee boxes. I said we would make sure to follow the rule, kind of confused by the question. He then stared at our cart for a few minutes and asked, "well do you think that is on the path?" Two of the wheels were off of the concrete path but were on a rock area that was put there because many of the holes crisscross. I thought I was being polite by parking the car this way, not anywhere near the grass. If that was considered off the path, fine. I moved the cart and the marshall went back to his vending stand. The thing that got me was that he drove over just to point this out and was condescending when telling us to move it.

RUDE female staff on beverage cart and fairways are like CONCRETE! Waited for beverage cart from tee off at 9am until 15th hole. Cart finally shows up and lady immediately starts screaming she is going to taking my cooler away from me. I explained that I have played for years at Pasadena and I have a medical condition. The starter Marshall knows me and knows I am diabetic. She then insists on looking in my cooler. What the hell does she think she will find in my cooler? Where was she with the beverage cart from 9 am in the morning until 1pm? What kind of customer service is this??? Most of the time, there is no beverage cart and only sometimes there is food available at 10th hole (greasy). I can put up with the poor condition of the course but rudeness and ignorance I will not tolerate.

DO NIT GO HERE. The course is awful, there are GROSS porto potties and the WORKERS ARE SO RUDE. I went here for my first real game of golf with my husband for his birthday. Ive been to the driving range a few times but was obviously going slower that some of the other golfers. I let everyone that came up behind us play through yet "the pro" drove up and said very rudely "I can tell you dont know much about golf because Ive been watching you for awhile. You need to keep up". Why did he need to be so rude? I was letting people pass us. I later complained about him inside and the lady smirked at me and said "he can do whatever he wants because hes the pro here". I will NEVER go back and I recommend the course in ALVIN : ) great upkeep and nice people at that one.

Young man was in the pro shop instead another good ole boy, so compared to when I went there a few years ago, that was better . Course was still hard to find but was in pretty good shape (December). The stupid thing about this course is the layout. It is worse than Wildcat for making you drive all over creation toget to the next hole. Come on guys, cant somebody please sit down with a pencil and paper and fix this amateur plate of spaghetti? It is ridiculous. And while youre at it, let an enterprising someone set up shop at the turn so a person can buy a hot dog and a beer after nine holes, okay?

Dump! Dump! Stay away. It really is sad to call this place a dump. It has alot of potential but the city does not sink one dime into the place. Anywhere you play a ball you might as well be hitting off concrete. When your ball does land expect a heck of a bounce wheter your on the fairway or rough. The only bright spot was the greens and that is not saying much. Driving range as well was ultra crappy. Take my advice and do not waste your time. If you need your golf fix you are better off staying at home.

This place is trash like i said! the FAT man Jerry who calles him self a marshall is the reason i will NEVER play this place again! fairways are brown and hard as a rock! Greens are slow and crapy! Way to many places to play in houston to put up with the crap there!!! Clear Creek is just down the road and is a WAY better course for the price!!!! DO NOT PLAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!

Not a bad place, so far, every single time weve been there employees have been there. I guess the people who gave it a bad rating want a spectacular, professional course for little money. If there is one thing that gives this place a bad name is a lot of their customers. This is supposed to be a gentlemans game yet one out of every five guys you see playing out there, pulls his junk out n just starts to piss away!

This place sucks but thats why I kinda like it. Its cheap and you get what you pay for. Dont come here if you have a pace maker because you might die. There is a sign when you first come into the parking lot. Also there is a LOT of bad golfers here so watch out for stray balls flying at your head. But hey, if you like drinking beer and living on the wild side like me this is this place for you!!

I use it as a cheap driving range....which is about as fun to hit off the deck as hitting concrete. The practice green is nice in the evening, hence the 2 stars(free to use) Even that, the entire course is run by kids who look like stoned out high school dropouts. The only consistently nice employees are the guard dogs that hang out around the club house.

Even at the lowest green fees in town, it still feels overpriced. The staff rarely seems happy to be there, its sometimes possible to lose a ball in the middle of the fairway, and the greens are nothing to write home about. Ill continue to play here because its close by, but some small improvements could go a long way.
