Ive been going to chayns for 3 years and it was a nice elegant club where people can dress up and enjoy a select public, recently it got a new owner and he does not care about the clients he just wants more people to fill up his pocket and the nice educted people who used to go are leaving by the bunches now you have all kinds of people who go in tshirts and sneakers and theres alot of people without any respect for others filling the Club. The new owner already raised the entry fee on all the drinks and the quality is not the same as used they used to be. There is a lot of discussions and fights lately and somebody stole my phone and a friend of mine had her purse taken as well. When someone has too many drinks the owner has been overcharging them. Many of my fellow club friends feel the same and are looking for a new club. Any suggestions? I do not mind driving longer.

Chayns Night Club Now Charging a $ 7 dollar cover charge Chayns Opened like 30 years ago its always been free. The new owners have made changes Is it worth it well you be the judge: Negatives are: Only one dance area, Yes it’s small and old, Chayns needs paint, and many upgrades, only one music same area, Many clubs that charge a cover like this have different rooms with different Music, Also rooms that have Pool tables/ Games or Karaoke. No out side patio area to drink or smoke, small bathrooms, old and broken doors in the mens bathroom, The men that work the bathroom are always wanting a tip, and there is no space to wash your hands. Positives are: If you live north its close, Yes you can smoke inside, Yes even cigars, Many clubs in Houston no smoking. Brand new light show and sound, Music videos, Chayns now has a stage.

I will say that the music, drinks, and atmosphere was outstanding; however I would strongly advise everyone to pay with cash because I was totally taken advantage of for not closing out my tab. I have not addressed this $35 loss with the business personally but felt I needed to post it here. Pretty sad for such a nice place to have a f****** thief working for them. I will go back in the future but dont plan on trusting them again with my credit card. If this has happened to others, I felt they should take my lead and say something about it because it was really uncool!

Starting June 2013 Chayns has a new owner! We have done a big remodel with lots of improvements! We cater to an over 30 crowd with 70s-80s-current music, dancing and great drinks. Been a long time patron. Like the diversity, and different music. The admission price has gone up a bit. They dont compete with other venus well enough to rate the door fee. The dj needs to step us the selection. Usually 80s and 90s and 2000s music is played. They are missing out on a lot of good dance music from these eras. Only put off is the SMOKING. it is 2016 people make them switch to e-cigs for one night, it wont kill them.

Honestly, we are all looking for different atmospheres for entertainment. Dress codes help to eliminate nonsense. I went 3 months ago. I loved the music. It was very diverse in ethnicity and ages. The place was packed. I had to park at the bank next door. I thought the cover charge was cheap. I paid for me and my friend. It was less than $10! I look forward to going back.

Dress code is bullshit! Now I understand some things like No Hats, No Shorts ... but the guys dress code is way to strictly enforced. I guess only come here if you just got out of church or a funeral. And to be honest, the parking lot was empty, so take what you can get. I just wanted some beers, music and some good service.

Ive been here plenty of times, free food on fridays, great prices on drinks, the owners have been there forever and make you feel comfortable. The service is great I never have to wait for a drink. I like how there is a lot of mature people here it sets a good vibe to club.

Totally gone down hill since new ownership...only OLD people here...seriously, freakishly old! Dr. Vetter...or something, throwing me out cuz Im cuddling with my husband & telling me hes not my husband!! Sooo insulted! & never coming back...only old people for this place!

Great ambiance. Plenty of at bar seating. Large dance dance floor with fun lighting. Bar tenders are great. DJ plays a variety of dance music for all age groups. Drink specials on most nights. A fun place to dance. 6-1-17

This was a GREAT club 20yrs ago. Now its nothing but a dump. Nothing but Asian P-teasers looking for free drinks. Really sleazy place. I use to be a regular. But I wont be back.

Nice spot for dancing. Good Dj and I love Salsa night. Only draw back is its always smoky and thats a deal breaker for me. 40s and older crowd, good drinks and prices.
