My family unfortunately experience two deaths within one month, my uncle and grandmother. My grandfather deceived to use this funeral home after my grandmother passed away last week and this funeral home was located close to their house. I wasn’t the one who arranged the services but, I was helping with bringing my uncles remains and creating a slide show for a memorial service to go along with my grandmothers funeral. The building was nice but, Cecil the funeral director was not. He was not very sympathetic during the viewing when it was time to go and made smart remarks as if we were dumb. I understand that we had to leave at a certain time but, he could have at least said it in a caring nice way. After this I thought he was not having a good day and maybe the next day he would be better, I thought wrong. The next day before the funeral started he had more smart comments to say and even snapped at one of my uncles as we were putting my grandmother into the cremator. Hopefully I will not have to use their services again and as long as Cecil the funeral director is there I will not be recommending this place to anyone I know. Also, one last thing for those that still decide to use this funeral home, please go elsewhere to make your funeral programs. My grandfather spend $400.00, $200.00 each for 100 programs, for my grandmother and uncles funeral programs. The funeral programs were the most cheap and plain looking programs I have ever seen. Keep your money and order them online or somewhere else. I wish I would have known this before my family spend thousands at this place to only get treated like trash. If the funeral home sees this comment please feel free to contact me.

My older brother died unexpectedly earlier this year while in South Texas. Although he was actually cremated there, I needed additional help with arrangements and posting announcements and getting a proper burial urn. Even though the actual services were in another state, not at Flower Mound Funeral Home, Cecil was most helpful in providing the information I needed to make decisions regarding what had to be done, especially given my state of mind at this most difficult time. I was so lost in the all the details of what needed to be done, and Cecil was there with guidance and answers. I received enough fake "sympathy" from bankers, insurance agents, credit card customer representatives, and others who routinely gave me the standard compassion "line" once I notified them of my brothers death. I appreciated Cecils kind but professional manner that didnt seem fake or phony - just quiet and unassuming but willing to provide various options regarding my brothers needs and then allowing me the time to make the right decision without being pushy or bossy. His patience while I just sat and pondered decisions that I have never had to make before (and I pray to God I never have to make again) meant more to me than he will ever know.

We had a service for my sister here in 2013. We only needed a service - she had been creamated in Mesquite right after her autopsy. She passed unexpectedly at a young age and we werent sure where we wanted the service. They were not very friendly, made mistakes in the cheep programs and were rude at the service. I dont feel like we asked for much - room set up, a microphone, and a guest book with tables for photos. I though they might be upset that didnt get the fee for the creamation. I told them wed pay whatever price to use the room. We also orders all the flowers from their shop thinking that would be fair to them. But in the past three years weve heard many similar experiences at this place. Honor your loved one somewhere else.

My dad suddenly passed away 6 weeks ago. My mom, four siblings, and I walked into the funeral home about 12 hours after his death, all teary eyed and not once did Cecil give his sympathies or condolences. First thing out of his mouth was discussing all the "packages" they offered. As a funeral director, I understand you get used to the feeling of death, but for gods sake learn to be more cordial and sympathetic to the losses of the people who keep your business open. The only redeeming factor was, at the end of the service, one of the ladies who works there came over to hug my mom and offer a few kind words as she couldnt stand walk away from my dad one last time.

The staff at Flower Mound Funeral Home did a wonderful job on my fathers funeral service. Mr Dalton knows all of our rituals and was very patient as we had to start late and having a crematory in the building was a big help and made it very convenient for us.

I have attended many funerals at this place being a Hare Kṛṣṇa priest and all. I must say that I appreciate their professionalism.
