You are not a customer to these people you are just a number. I have played this course for over two years and until Saturday I had no problem with it. However on Saturday I got stuck behind a group of 5 below average players. At first I was ok with it but by the time I got to the 5th tee it got out of hand. By the time I could tee off there were 3 groups behind me all waiting. At the 6th tee the same thing happened so I called the pro shop and asked to send a marshal. The marshal never stopped to ask the group in front of me to get moving despite being a full hole behind. Instead he drove right up to me and was mad at me for calling. He was rude and didnt care that it was taking forever. He said its club policy to allow groups of 5 on the weekend. (Thats insane and no club I have ever been to allow it). He said I should go to the pro shop and get my money back. He wasnt willing to even talk to the group in front of me. I wont be back there are a ton of good courses in DFW Ill play somewhere else. I also sent an email to the parent company and never heard back from them. Avoid this place!!! Update: After I posted this review I was contacted by Jeff Levine of Arcis Golf the parent company of Bear Creek. He let me know that he was going to look into this issue and would do what he could to correct the problem. Jeff did more than that he went above and beyond when it comes to customer service. He contacted me and invited me to have a round at one of the companies other courses. I took advantage of this and played that round over the weekend. If anyone from Arcis golf reads this I hope they understand that Jeff is a quality employee who represents the company very well and truly cares about customers.

I would not reccomend this course to anyone. I played at Pecan Valley in Ft. Worth the day before and it was in just as good shape, with less people, and half the price. I went to Bear Creek on a Wednesday morning because I heard how nice it was, but I was very disappointed. The greens were in terrible shape, they had just been arreated and sand blasted. They had limbs and sticks all over the fairway they never bothered to pick up, and the people doing maintence didnt bother to stop mowing the grass as you were teeing off. Worst of all noise wise was the constant parades of 747s flying into DFW ever 2 1/2 minutes. Also, on holes 1 and 10, you wont be able to find your tee shot due to the fact that there are literally 40+ range balls on each fairway. For $60 I would expect better service. Aside from the noise and gerneral bad shape of the course, the people were very rude. They expect you to finish 9 holes in 2 hours. My foursome finished in 2 hours and 12 minutes and the course official had a talk with each of us about how "slow" we were playing. He proceded to follow us through the next 5 holes. It felt like big brother was watching. The starter and officials were very rude, I felt like I was a first timer playing at Augusta. They want you in and out, and they will watch you like a hawk on each hole. In summary, this course was very expensive, and not near worth the price. Unless you are a single digit handicap, do not go here. If you want a more friendly atmosphere go to Pecan Valley, you wont be disappointed.

Some of the reviews seemed outdated so I thought I would get the page "up to date". I live in the area and have played (numerous times) every course in the metroplex, Bear Creek is the best value going, fantastic tracks (east and west courses), the course is in mint shape. They do have tournaments a couple times a week but I have always played the opposite course of the tournament because I know how they slow things down, Its known when an event is going on because the nice folks in the clubhouse tell you, in advance. True, if you are a rabbit this course is not for you, when the planes land to the north you get air traffic over the course, never bothered me or mine, they are almost gliding anyway. Greens Fees are posted but you get discounts from their web page or from just about every ID card in the wallet. Been playing there off and on for twenty years and have never had a marshall tell us to speed it up, wait staff is "Texas" friendly, always with a smile. Club house amenities could stand some updating, much better than a public course but nowhere near a resort course. Bottom line, 36 holes of challenging golf on TWO PRIME tracks, greens in fantastic shape, driving range and two chipping and putting greens plus practice sand trap. Friendly, helpful wait staff. AAA very positive experience.

One of my favorite courses in DFW. I have played both the East and West courses, and both are challenging (although the West course may be a bit more difficult). The course is heavily wooded with narrow fairways, it has several blind shots with elevation, and just about every hole is lined with some type of hazard. The course was in fantastic condition, and the tee boxes and fairways looked almost flawless. I have only played on the weekends here, and pace of play has never been an issue. Staff has always been very accommodating and friendly, and as you would expect there are great amenities with this place. I would say this is best suited for the intermediate to advanced golfer. I also would advise all golfers to shop around for discounted tee times, as I usually have found ways to where I didnt have to pay full price. Cant wait to play here again!

I recently played the East course during the Quiktrip scramble tournament. The course was in absolutely phenomenal shape for late summer. The course didnt provide a ton of distance challenge for a 3 handicap player but I did take Iron off the tee box on 5 par 4s which is enlightening, I enjoyed the option of either trying to drive a green or laying up and playing the smart option. Number 8 is by far the hardest hole on the east. Par 4, 375 yards I believe, you either lay up and have a 180-200 yard shot in or try to carry the creek (deceptively long to carry) and have 85 or less yards in. Loved that hole as I hit a nice fade drive and left us 65 yards out. Overall I would have given the course 5 stars but at some points the air traffic gets annoying. I will be back often and bring others, I highly recommend this course

The course itself is in decent shape. Lots of blind shots and heavily wooded areas, so youll spend extra time searching for your ball if your not a fairway shooter. My coworkers and I used to play this course regularly after work, maybe 3 times a week until they started requesting credit card information in order to reserve a tee time. I cant recall a time in my life where I no showed for a round of golf, but its the principle of the matter. If I have an emergency to take care of or get in a wreck on the way to the course, are they saying theyre still going to charge my card? If not, then why get the card information? Good place to play if youre trying to squeeze in a last minute weekend tee time on Friday - somehow they ALWAYS have available tee times whereas most quality courses fill up a week in advance.
