I am writing to make a complaint. Yours is an organization of very good repute. It is known for great customer service, but recently, I came across disappointment with one of your employees I encountered Ms. Rachel Boyd. Friday February 3rd in Shelbyville,Tn , I went to the Calsonic Arena , and I had prior purchased our tickets that Morning for several of us to attend your rodeo well over $200 in tickets and Mind you this is the 3rd year we have attend such event After this incident with Ms Boyd this will be our last and I will continue to advise others to steer clear from the venue. Upon our arrival it was cold out and getting close to time for the rodeo to begin We waited in the line for will call and Spoke with the lady at the tickets for will call A very nice lady explained our tickets where not there and ask my husband to step outside to speak with the Booth attendant told us and pointed Im assuming because we had small children to step right over there we stood over to where the lady had ask waiting on my husband who went outside to check on tickets. The door we where told to wait by in front of was not operable during this event not blocking an entrance in anyway just simply waiting for my husband to get our tickets in which where suppose to be in will call and werent. We stood there maybe 4 minutes waiting which was fine I understood We placed our ticket order earlier in the day and the time lapse caused our tickets to not be at will call not an issues at all UNTIL we encounter MS. Boyd at this point she comes over to us and tells us to get out wait outside and she did not care if we didnt have tickets than we shouldnt be in the arena I tired to explain to her RUDENESS what happen and she showed no concern brief wordings where exchanged at this point and she continued to argue with me and talking in a very rude manner, not listening to me. Her tone was very aggressive, and completely uncalled for assuming we where trying to get in your rodeo for nothing which was far from the case. If Im being honest I took several photos that night to show the stands where not near full and the rodeo didnt appear to be a sale out Im certain bad reviews or negativeness can impact sales. .At this point I ask for her name and she advised she was running this rodeo and she WAS RACHEL BOYD...... I don’t see any sense in telling you the word-to-word conversation I personally regret not handling this differently myself However my children where present and would have been devastated If I had walked out like I shouldve. But I am sure that after knowing this incident, you will definitely take some action to educate your employee on behavior with customers which will prevent the loss of your business in future. As I am sure that sitting on such a higher position in your organization, you must be concerned about the image of your rodeo , I believe I have done the right thing by passing on this information to you. I am not asking or expecting anything from your establishment in writing this letter we will NOT be returning to Anything which involves Lonestar Rodeo or Ms. BOYD. However events like this are favorable for such a small town and negatives reviews could impact your business.

Went for Lynchburg Flat Track Racing. The event was GREAT! The venue was filthy. Seats were covered in dirt, I guess from the previous nights practice and I mean covered, as were the floors. Not that you dont expect to get dusty at something like that. The concession stand was very under staffed, having to wait 30-45 min at times in line. They had a VIP area offered by one of the sponsors Bumpus, which I was a member. Event started at 7. They were out of beverages by 7:05. :::rolling eyes::: (nothing against Calsonic here). So, other than all this, the Calsonic arena had plenty of parking, two large nice restrooms, two concession areas the seating was ok other than being dirty. Kind of small plastic seats, but not too cramped and decent viewing from all seats. Also the VIP area was decent, although there were very few seats with good viewing from within the VIP area itself. It also had a walkway with a window where you could see into the "garage" as it was this evening, but on normal events, where the horses would be, which I thought was really neat. It also had "Big Ass" (brand name) fans to keep the dusty air circulating, as Im sure, regardless of the event, it is always a dirt floor arena. All in all, it had the potential for a great venue, but it lost my 2 stars because of the filth in the seats. Ive never been to a venue of that size and grandeur and had to sit in such. This IS the walking horse capital of the world after all! You have a reputation to uphold!

This place was really nice. They have huge ceiling fans like I have never seen. Kept it relatively cool inside.

Still unclear as to the treatment of the animals during horse shows and rodeos.
