Just went yesterday. I want to warn everyone about the parking garage next to the museum-you kind of go underground, its connected to the Hilton and says public parking. The prices were posted and though expensive we agreed to it Bc the prices were per hour but once youve reached OVER two hours it was $30. We didnt stay at the museum long. An hour and a half. So it should have been $15 for the parking. There are kiosks inside to pay at-which you would be a fool to do. We decided to pay by card on the way out. I tried to insert the parking ticket but the machine didnt accept it at all. It just said we owed $30-no matter if we had been there 5 minutes, or even if we had prepaid at the kiosks. Im a local and its the principle of this highway robbery that really soured my experience. Someone else reviewed this garage and said they got charged $30 for just one hour and I thought they were mistaken Bc of the prices posted. It must be nice for premier parking to post prices and then hold you and your car hostage for the maximum price instead-even if you prepaid. The museum itself was lovely but like I said we were done in 1.5 hours.

The museum is a worthwhile attraction, with an interesting mix of memorabilia from classic and contemporary country music. I went as a person that doesnt listen to country music and found the historical aspects interesting. There is a photo room with large props that is fun. The stores and historical working printing press can be visited without an admission ticket. The best part of the day was a "songwriter session" held in a small, intimate theatre. We were treated to live music from two artists that have written Top-10 songs. The entire experience, however, was soured by the parking garage. AVOID THE GARAGE. For a two hour stay we were scalped $30 - more than an admission price. That price is absolutely ridiculous and abusive of tourists. The price was not on the ticket dispenser or anywhere near. Searching after the sticker shock, it was hidden on the last line of a sign on a pole on the right - something there would not have been time to read through in traffic, if it had been noticed. $30 for two hours of parking, sadly, is the departing overriding memory.

I really appreciated this place. I wasnt even a big fan of country music when I came here. There was certainly a general appreciation for the genre that I gained here. The entire place is geared to teach people about how country evolved while talking about several different artists and focusing on some of the biggest ones like Johnny Cash. The only thing that kinda bugged me was the pricing. $25 per person is kinda up there, but I can respect it based on the amount of historical things you can find and see there. They have discounts for students and seniors which is great too. Its also constantly evolving with different displays. And its self guided as well so you can take as long as you want. My buddies and I were in there for about three hours and still didnt really get to see and do everything. Overall great place to learn about country music and really experience how it began and where it is now. I added a bunch of new songs and artists to my list of things I will listen to later on. Great place.

Bella esperienza.

Visited in May 2012. Layout is nice. Most artists that have been inducted have a guitar, a pair of boots, or an outfit in the display case. On the walls are seemingly thousands of repro gold and platinum records. However, some of the biggest selling country artists of all time are unrepresented or underrepresented. For instance, Alabama, Garth Brooks, Vince Gill and George Strait have relatively little representation in the display cases. By contrast, Buck Owens has seemingly endless representation. I mention this only because the 4 aforementioned artist have sold upwards of 270 million records between them. Also, you will not find a confederate flag in any part of the museum. So, I guess there are some politics involved. The Country Music Hall of fame was okay at best.

As a country music fan, you should not miss it ... The air conditioning is MUCH too cold set, but the whole museum is very interesting and typical "American-good" presented ... Als Country-Music - Fan sollte man sich das nicht entgehen lassen... Die Klimaanlage ist zwar VIEL zu kalt eingestellt, aber das ganze Museum ist sehr interessant und typisch "amerikanisch-gut" präsentiert...

Long quick moving lines tend to disappear as you travel through Music Citys history, and much of the exhibits change on a regular basis to warrant multiple visits, however the place just calls for some more live music space thats not embedded in history. Or perhaps put up a glass and a sign that says Honkytonkus Nashvillipedus and slap a local band up there. They do have a performance space, but its regimented, walled off, and not something youd get to after finishing up a tour. Man, theyd make a killing getting locals to perform, and the tourists would probably love it to being able to get a selection of the music they just read about played with a live bands unique twist.

I did not expect to have as much of a good time as I did when I went in... I thought it was just one of those things that Id regret not seeing if I skipped it. I was absolutely right with that one! I knew Dolly Parton was small, but never knew just how small until I had the chance to see a life size mannequin with her costumes. (I love her even more now knowing shes such a tiny little awesome influence.) If I were in Nashville again with someone whod never been, I would take them and see the whole thing over again. I typically dont get things at the gift shops of museums, however I couldnt help but snag a mug to show off that Ive been here.

I have been a volunteer at the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum for 11 years. I have met many people that tell me how much they have enjoyed their visit. The museum is in the process of expanding, actually doubling the exhibit space. We will have a larger theater, restaurant and be able to have more artifacts on display. Make sure you also visit RCA Studio B while here. This was Elvis Presleys favorite studio, recording over 200 songs at Studio B. The ticket price is now $22.00 but well worth it! Just make sure you spend a couple of hours with us as there is plenty to see. You wont be disappointed.

I was able to visit here for the first time and I was blown away. I learned so much about country music that I was amazed. They had some of the old music playing and some of the new music playing and all the exhibits. I learned a lot about how the songs were written and the interconnectivity between the different artists and different John resume music. I probably walked and took my time has been a good two two two and a half hours there. You could go through it faster if you werent as interested and it was still be a fun place to visit. Highly highly highly recommend.
