This was an excellent venue for the Chris Daughtry show. The acoustics were outstanding. It was a sold out show, but there didnt seem to be alot of people there. The bartender said that 1032 tickets were sold and that seemed about right. My husband is in a wheelchair and when I went to drop him off at the front door, the parking attendent came running and said i needed to move. When i explained the situation, he said to just park my car there and he wheeled us right in. It was helpful that I had picked up tickets beforehand and didnt have to stand in the "will-call" line. As far as the online ticket sales...I had no problems. It was a big help to pick them up early also. They have 2 bars now with lots of beer selections and mixed drinks. A regular can of beer is $4 (not sure about mixed drink $). That is not out of line for vendor beer like that. There were about 8 banquet size tables in the back and since we got in there quickly and the hubby was sitting anyway I grabbed a chair for the whole show. We were sitting behind everyone crowded next to the stage, but had the best view we could have had.

Minglewood has its own groove and feel to it that is more unique than other venues. Directly located across the street from the local watering hole and famed dive bar, P & H Cafe. Memphis contributes much to that factor, but I love the experience every time Ive attended a concert. No bad experiences, but its different in comparison to traditional amphitheater venues. Its always standing room unless specified otherwise. It can get crazy with 1500 people in that building, but its fun. Try it out. Youll love it. Dont wear heels. Dont wear a jacket or a sweater unless plans to be in the very back. And last but not least..... PARTAY TIME!

Very small venue. Security/staff was rude. Told the merchandise crew who were affiliated with the collective I saw that they needed to hurry up and leave so they could go home. Was only 11 pm. On top of that, the owner let in kids he knew in front of everyone 20 minutes prior to the concert starting. Some had been in like waiting for 5+ hours. Only plus was that the wait was inside instead of 99+ degree weather. And they dont know what an air conditioner is because I have never sweat like that at a concert before and Ive been to more intense than that one. Advice? Drive to another venue

My girlfriend felt ill and we were directed to a small chair out of the way of foot traffic, ( 5 feet from the door and not passed the bar and still inside of the building) after a small time (less than 15 minutes) when she felt better we decided we would give it another go, we were then rudely told that once we exit the show we could not return although other people were walking back and forth right past us.... Ive only seen 3 shows at this place and I can definitely not be going back, horrible service

Saw Digitour last night with my daughter. Spent $86 on VIP tickets only to have general admission ticket holders get the front spots for the show. There was absolutely no organization. GA and VIPs were all jumbled together and no one seemed to care. The staff was rude and seemed clueless of the venue rules. Could not believe that with the small crowd, the venue was unable to handle the situation. Loved the show but unfortunately had to watch from the GA spots rather than the VIP we paid for.

This is a terrible place to hear and see music. The ceiling is low and acoustics bad. If you want a drink you can miss half the show because they dont have table service and there are so many people who want drinks and a grossly understaffed bar. Ive been here half a dozen times and its always the same--I miss much of the show because of excruciatingly slow service. If you dont drink anything or sneak in your own, you can see the show. Forget about the food, its horrible.

The facility is nice and the show I saw was amazing, BUT there were problems. Inadequate ventilation -- On a 70 degree evening, the building was closer to 90 degrees inside because of the sold out crowd (capacity for standing room is 1600). There were no fans and doors were only opened by fans near the gated in smoking area when the heat got unbearable. Also, smoke machines are lame. Turn them off. It doesnt enhance the show in any way.

Both times Ive been there a lot of the staff was super rude. They told the guys selling merchandise to hurry up so that they could go home. They also told my friend that she couldnt bring in drinks or food after she told them that she has diabetes and NEEDS it. That rule is stupid anyways because if you are front row, you would rather pass out than leave your spot to pay for overpriced water.

Have you every imagined a back hideaway that you can escape from the world? This place would be it. The atmosphere here creates a unpolished yet homey feel that blends the garage band with underground music genre. Sadly the show started a hour after the time that was listed, but it seems worth the wait. If your a college student check this place out.

Not very nice with the entering of the venue the staff were not that easy to talk with. But the rest of the night was ok. Only complaint is the view was not great even for a guy that is 61. Is it to much to ask if all venues would consider to construct a taller stage or angled floor so that all goers can see well from any spot in the crowd.

Easy to find free parking around the corner if you get there early or have a small car. This is where all the good bands play, besides the Hi-tone. Overpriced food & drink during the shows, just like anywhere else. To all other reviews mentioning the staff being rude, did you come here to interact with the staff or see a show?

Venue isnt the most comfortable one in the city and if you are not careful they will shut down beer sales before they are supposed to. However they pull in some great names and its small enough where you dont feel like you are trapped in a sardine can. Bonus easy access smoking patio.

Every time someone big comes to Minglewood, they do ticket sales on Saturday morning and EVERY TIME THEIR WEBSERVERS CRASH and you cant buy tickets!!!!!!!!!!!! You cant even get to the main webpage. DO NOT TRY AND BUY TICKETS ONLINE FOR ANYTHING YOU WANT TO SEE. IT WONT WORK!!!!!!

A lot of complaints about sound but it really depends on the band performing set up. Saw Ghost and Riff Raff here an both sounded great. There is lots of room to dance and since seating is not assigned you have a good chance of standing right in front of the band.

I came to see the headline of the show Raphael Saadiq. The artist Eric Gales decide to tell the fans leaning towards the end of the show to tell us he is not coming. I blame him and the venue for not informing us in advance. Very unprofessional.
