Truly, the highlight of the evening was the valet having my car ready as I walked out the door so that my wife and I could leave quickly. The entire experience while inside the restaurant was truly disappointing. Without going into every detail, the service we received was the poorest Ive experienced at a restaurant that holds themselves up as being somewhat upscale. The food was good (nothing amazing) and the decor was beautiful, but the service was atrocious. A dining experience which should have lasted at the most an hour drug on for nearly two and a half hours. We were ignored for 20 minutes after being seated, served the wrong food-twice, and forgotten about several times throughout the night by our server. If youre looking for a restaurant with similar ambiance to HuntPhelan but with superior food and service go to Restaurant Iris. You wont be disappointed. (that is unless you just enjoy a good valet.)

The food was okay. The service was terrible!! I had to ask for a coffee refill 4 times before I got up and got it myself at which time the host saw me and came over!! With dessert I ask for more coffee and the server said "he hoped someone had gone out and gotten some regular but he had decaf". The overall experience was disappointing for a restuarant that charges that much. We had to ask for forks to eat our entree with because the 2 we started with were carried off with our appetizer and salad plates. We had dirty dishes and empty sweetner packages on our table the whole evening. When our food was served the men were served before the ladies!! I expected a classy, elegant evening and did not get it. I could have gone to Chilis and had better service for alot less!!

This is now a wedding venue, and is no longer a restaurant and since I just had my wedding back here in May of 2016 I had to set the record straight! The Hunt Phelan Home is a beautiful home and was the perfect backdrop for my wedding. Everything was exactly how I wanted it and they took great care and detail to make sure my day was special. My guests loved having access to the whole house and grounds and they all have told me what a great venue this was. Im a little biased (of course), but it literally was one of the best weddings Ive been to and the best day of my life!

If you are looking for a wedding venue, look no further! The Hunt Phelan is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and Wanda and Tripp are hands down the BEST to work with! They work hard to make sure that everything is taken care of so that you are able to have the wedding day of your dreams! The beauty of the home speaks for itself and makes for the most classic and elegant wedding venue in Memphis. I got married here in June of 2017 and I cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was! Trust me when I say you do NOT want to pass up this venue!

Worst restaurant experience of my life. The food was some of the worst food that I have ever had. Our waiter did not even greet us for the first 40... thats right 40 minutes that we sat down. Although the five other waiters who walked by did not acknowledge us, the bartender felt sorry for us and brought us water. This was a Thursday night...and not a very busy Thursday night at that. I will never EVER eat there again. I am fairly certain that Young Ave even has better servers. Dont waste your money or time.

We arrived in Memphis and came straight to eat after hearing from a few friends. Immediately greeted by a wonderful hostess by the name of Rachael had an amazing dining experience and upon leaving was asked if everything was to out satisfaction by Rachael. A++++ to the food, service, and employees. Thank you! I will return the next time i am in Memphis!

My daughter was married at Hunt Phelan Sat. Oct 29th. Everything was perfect. The whole venue was beautiful. We used the in house catering (Best of Memphis Catering) You guys were were a pleasure to work with . W & T , yall dun good !

The Hunt Phelan was amazing! So beautiful. Its very different than the tour I took years ago. Wanda and Tripp are amazing. The home is beautiful, the grounds are immaculate and they worked so hard to make my day as special as possible.

Was here for as a bridesmaid for a friends wedding. This location is absolutely beautiful. Its super convenient for guests and is a great spot to hold everything from ceremony to reception.
