I am a regular at the Surfside Bowling Alley. My friends and I drive down from Georgetown once a week to play on Sunday nights when its one dollar. Last night which was a Saturday they have a "special" its $16.20 to bowl from 11-2. There was one lady in the bar area doing the best she could. The people on the outside became annoyed and upset because the worker was not acknowledging us. The last straw was when we saw one of her friends come and ask for a drink and get it right away. We became furious at this point from standing in line for 30+ mins of not being acknowledged. She threatened to call the police on me, for what I dont know. But that bar incident last night and I am going to go to higher authority about this matter, so it doesnt happen again.

We (a group of just 3) arrived on a Friday evening at 6 pm to get a lane and were turned away because they had leagues coming in who would take up every lane. We were very disappointed b/c we planned this bowling trip for several days and planned to have dinner just next door at Crabby Mikes. We had to drive a good # of miles to the next bowling alley. They should post notices on their website if there are no lanes open to the public on weekends. Bad experience here. I recommend calling ahead to ensure sure they have lanes open for the public.

I was totally pleased to see a nice facility behind the darkened windows. The place is clean, the snack bar offered many fun bowling alley fun snacks, and the staff were very polite and helpful. The kids played guitar hero and dance revolution and I played skeeball waiting for a lane to open. A good time. Vacationing from Charlotte, NC

Highway Robbery

Refuse to serve mixed drinks, bc bar is closed till 4pm but they close at 4pm Christmas eve but will serve beer. Place looks like a dive bar, trashy out side, looks run down, and management dont give a flip, food takes 20 mins to order then another 20 to get your food, 15min wait on a soft drink. , better off going to 501 bowling

This would be a great place if they would just take care of customers and not act like you are bothering them when you go to bowl. Never seen such disregard. Also, tried to call two days in a row for information - dont waste your time It is taken off the hook and a busy signal is all you will get. No, I am not kidding.

Good "rain at the beach" option. The lanes are well kept and oiled and the balls are in decent shape. The food was just "meh" but craft beer pitchers was a nice touch. The lady at the snack bar was kind of rude but our group had a good time overall. Their arcade was just okay - sufficient but not glamourous.

Fun clean bowling alley and attached bar. They have put a lot of improvement into this bowling alley and it has paid off. They bar prices are very reasonable and the food choices are good and reasonably priced. Clean fun environment with plenty of lanes and good rates!

What a great family friendly place. It was raining so no golf. Took my 3 year old for her first bowling experience. These guys were so nice and professional. We will be going back and will tell everyone of our friends where to go at the beach. Thanks for a great night

Its a fun place to bowl. Older equipment frequently malfunctions though. And theres no changing station in the womens bathroom, so if you have very little ones and need to change diapers, come prepared to fend for yourself.

Modern facilities with a great full bar and lounge, billiards by the hour and a huge game room for the kids. Good family specials too. Way better and safer than filthy old Waccamaw Bowling thats behind a strip club on Hwy 501.

Kids had a great time! We showed up on a Saturday night around 7:30 and only waited for 5 minutes for two lanes next to each other. The place was clean and friendly. We did not try the food, so I cannot comment on that.

Bowling was great, had an amazing time until a guy walked into the womens bathroom and they did nothing about it because the manager was best friends with them... NO guy should be going into the girls bathroom!!!

Called to ask if any specials were going on for tonight. A guy answered, Alex, & he immediately hung up on us. Tried to call again, & no one picked up. Would like if a manager could reach out. Never coming here

I usually have a good time here. Its great to kick back with your friends and screw around. Its open pretty late. Food is rather pricey, but not surprising. My go-to bowling alley.
