I have been here three times. Below is my first experience which was a good one. However we went at 3pm when it wasnt busy. Since then we have visited twice, once at lunch and once at dinner. At lunch they had ran out of the daily special and they had ran out of whatever chicken dish I wanted as well as no desserts. The dinner time, service was terrible. My coffee got cold before I received my sugar. I had almost finished my meal before my husband got the dressing to go on his salad which was his main course then once he did, he had to choke it down with an empty glass. They were also out of desserts this night too. Then the waitress gave me the wrong change and disappeared. I had to get up and ask the hostess to send her to my table to have it rectified. All three times the wait staff has been less than par and I predict if its not changed, they will not make it....there are way too many restaurants downtown that offer way better customer service. This is a new restaurant in downtown, thought we would give it a try for dinner tonight. The interior is really groovy with the vintage aluminum ceiling tile and retro pleather booths and seating mixed with the cool chandelier lighting and exposed brick that stays true to Downtown Greenvilles charm. It offers four floors of food and beverage with the fourth floor being an open sky lounge. We started with a huge cup of coffee that was actually smooth. Then the buffalo wings, they were huge wet and tasty (a wet wipe should be served with these since you have cloth napkins) served with a delicious ranch dressing. Followed with the BBQ platter: man this dish was off the chain wicked good. The BBQ sauce is a tomato based sweet heat. The chicken, pulled pork, ribs, and sausage was so moist and full flavor served with a zingy vinagar finely chopped slaw and sweet baked beans complimented with jalapeño waffle corn bread. The hubby had the NY Strip, cooked and seasoned perfectly served with tasty spinach and creamy cheesy rich scallop potatoes. We finished it off with their signature chocolate whiskey cake that was an orgasmic explosion in my mouth. This mammoth slice of chocolate cake moist and full of flavor topped with their home made whipped cream drizzled with a cream sauce and milk chocolate chips dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon...yes that is exactly how I would describe an orgasm! Yes there may be a fatal attraction evolving here....#yeahthatgreenville

I really wanted to like this place as the atmosphere and decor was so interesting. However this was the worst dining experience I ever had. We waited for 15 minutes after being seated for our server to take our drink order, drinks then took another 20 minutes to arrive. When ordering first course, my friend asked what the market price was for the chef select oysters. Our server responded with well whats your budget? This was an odd response and very unprofessional. Once she returned with the answer to his question, she said is that price okay with you (in a very condescending way). The rest of the meal was similar, everything took forever and the service was not attentive. We received our oysters and were waiting for a while for our friends order to arrive. The manager walked by and asked how our meal was going my friend said just waiting for our oysters. The manager came back in less than 2 minutes with those oysters. They must have just been sitting in the kitchen. Once our main course finally arrived my order was wrong. There was chicken instead of shrimp. The server apologized and asked if I wanted to keep the chicken salad to take home. I told her no thanks I do not eat chicken. She came back with the blackened "shrimp" salad. The kitchen took the chicken off the salad, put shrimp on there and served me the same salad. I know this because they forgot a piece of chicken. Food should never be brought back into the kitchen and served again. This is a violation of food safety. The manager then comped us a dessert because of this HUGE mess up. We waited around 25 minutes to get a frozen coffee cake. After we got the bill, the server came by with another server who was very obnoxious and said how was your meal? Did you love it? We said eh (what else were we supposed to say, it was horrible). Trying to say something positive, we said we really liked the atmosphere. The other server was like what about your server wasnt she great. This was completely unprofessional, and given the circumstances it felt harassing. Not only was the server not attentive throughout the meal (ordering more drinks, refills of water), the food took forever, my order was wrong and then served the same salad instead of a new one. This is inexcusable regardless of how long its been open.

Went to Ink N Ivy to celebrate hubbys birthday. Arrived a little after 7pm. Great location, odd set up as far as tables/kitchen area. We were greeted by a less than enthusiastic hostess. She did not smile or offer to tell us the set up/seating arrangement of the restaurant. She did ask what floor we wanted to sit on, but did not offer to explain the layout of the restaurant. We walked to the second floor and was told there was private party so we would not sit there, despite it being several empty tables. OK, so we go back downstairs since nobody offered to show us up to the roof. so back on the 1st floor, we wait for a table only to be told that it would a 15 minute wait. OK no problem. When we asked about the bar stools, the dry hostess told us we could sit there if we wanted to but she couldnt seat us there.... She said it with an attitude as if we knew the rules of seating. So we head to sit at the high top table near the bar. About 10 minutes later, hubby goes to the bar to order a drink as some time had passed. Before he speaks, the bartender says shell be with us in a minute. She comes over, again, no greeting or smile. we order drinks & an appetizer and shes gone. Appetizer is delicious but lukewarm (fried cheese). The dry hostess lets us know the table is ready. we get to the table and our waitress Nora had a little more personality, but still no smiles or warm welcomes. She never asked if if was our first time there or if we were celebrating anything in particular. Wasnt expecting a full conversation either. I had the crab cakes with mini sides of spinach and slaw (also lukewarm). Hubby got the NY strip which he said was just OK. All in all, spent almost $200 bucks with food and drinks. Food was just OK, lukewarm and service sucked. Waitstaff seemed inexperienced and exhausted.

I would never come back here and I would encourage anyone else local or just visiting to NOT give your business to this place unless you want to be treated like youre in prison with people yelling in your face and snatching things out of your hand. We were in town from Charlotte, NC for a wedding down in Greenville, SC. My friends and I went here after the wedding and received the most outrageous treatment ever! We hung out at the bar around from 12:00am to closing which is posted at 2:00am. Around 1:30am, they had turned the lights on and the bartender informed us it was last call at 1:35am so my friends ordered a few beers. Two minutes after receiving our beers which we paid for, we were told that we needed to leave now because the establishment was closing. When we asked what time they closed, the bouncer got in our faces and told us that it was NOW (1:40am). Upset because we didnt understand why we were sold beers yet they had no intention of letting us finish them. When we told them that we would finish our beers then leave, more bouncers approached us and one even tried to snatch my friends beer out of his hand. Needless to say, arguing commenced and we were eventually walked out. I have never seen an establishment treat their customers with such disrespect. If they had no intention of letting us finish our drinks, why sell them to us at all. It would only make sense to let us finish them or give us our money back. The hostile environment that they ensued on us was unnecessary and unprofessional.
