Last night, I was very disappointed and so was my son and husband. I have been going to this bowling alley (ASHLEY LANES) since I was a little girl along with my twin sister and I really dont understand why the owner refused to provide my 7 year old with bumpers. When we got there, I asked if they had any lanes available with bumpers, the man looked around and said no. My husband and I (after talking with someone) became informed that the lane we were on(lane #24) had bumpers, so my husband talked to the guy and he would not provide us with bumpers regardless that we are paying customers ($34.00), and I went and spoke with him and asked if he could provide us with bumpers or if we could wait for a lane that we could use with bumpers, and he replied, "I told you, I am not doing bumpers tonight". I said, "Sir, you said that there were no lanes available with bumpers, and that is not the same as "your not doing bumpers"". I cant believe that a man who owns a bowling alley that has been around since I was born, is refusing to provide his customers with what already is presumed as part of the "bowling package" of which is what we paid for. I hope we can get a new owner. This is the last bowling alley in West Ashley, and we have always enjoyed this activity as a family event- as a special occasion for all of us to have fun. Why is bumpers even an option when in all reality it is part of what we paid for. It is crazy that someone who doesnt want to deal with children or help make them happy along with his customers runs a bowling alley which is indeed a family oriented entertainment business.

Every time we attempt to go to this bowling alley we are immediately turned down "we will be setting up for league soon". The tone that is used everytime comes off as extremely rude. It is frustrating because there isnt a website to see when the lanes are open to the public and we usually just want to play one game. My daughter loves bowling and we end up having to drive 30 minutes to another bowling alley or find something else to do after explaining to a 5 year old why we cant bowl there. We are done bring turned down at Ashley Lanes.

The older gentleman who was at the front counter on 3/4/17 was not welcoming at all! He seemed very annoyed answering the simplest questions and had no customer service skills whatsoever. I have not been bowling in years, but my son was super excited about doing this for his birthday. I hate that this is now the only bowling alley in West Ashley. I would not recommend it just because of the poor customer service from this one guy. What a shame because the alley itself was pretty nice.

Customer service is EVERYTHING in an establishment. On 2-11-2017, was absolutely HORRIBLE!! He was completely disinterested in answering any questions we had. His tone was terrible and his face scowled. This was our first time visiting. The bartenders were AMAZING, but needless to say, we will NEVER visit this place again. As far Im concerned, he was happy and welcoming when the previous customers paid, but because of our color, his actions said otherwise!!!

Im so surprised to see any bad reviews of Ashley Lanes bowling alley. It is not the swankiest bowling alley there is, it is a classic bowling alley. The games are affordable, you can take your kids, the snack bar serves everything that you would expect a bowling alley to serve. This place is clean, fun, and not pretentious. Go to this bowling alley if you do not want to pay extra for oversized couches and a tapas menu.

What a great way to transform a fairly old, run of the mill bowling alley into a fun, family friendly hangout. The burger, fries and wings were all excellent and paired nicely with a local brew.They also have a great selection of mixed drinks, all of which can be enjoyed before, during, or after a game.

My husband and I come here a lot. We love the staff, they are very friendly and are always willing to give advice upon request. We both have custom balls and they were very patient in that process. It is a very classic bowling alley, nothing fancy about it. But we always have a great time!

The bar area is completely different from the last time I was here. Not bad drink prices however the wait for the food is absolutely ridiculous and portion sizes are terrible. Come here thirsty but dont come hungry. Save the food money for some more drinks or for a bite somewhere else.

This is a great bowling alley. There were plenty of ball sizes to chose from and the people were all friendly and helpful. And good Lord if you like pretzel bites get them, because the cheese sauce that goes along with them makes a perfect combo.

Completely remodeled snack bar and tavern area! Looks great! Excellent selection of beer on tap and a revamped menu complement this new look as well. Fun place to have a burger and beer while bowling!

Kind of scary and seedy. I felt like I was about to get mugged when stepping outside to smoke. Not very well lit and no way was it kid friendly with all of the cussing going on.
