This course is a nice course to golf on but not as nice as you would expect for the cost. It is well kept and offers some challenging holes but the real challenge at this course is getting a decent person to help you out with anything. From booking tee times to shop merchandise the house staff is so rude and almost conceited its staggering. I live close to this course and due to time constraints I have ended up going there a lot of times. Each time I receive the same horrible service, so it is consistently bad and not directed to a single person. Golf is so relaxing and a time to get away, the last thing I want to deal with is some shop keep, making five dollars an hour, with an attitude. There are other nice courses within 5-10 miles of this course where the reception is nothing but pleasant, go elsewhere.

My wife and I have been playing at dauphin highlands for years. We play about 60 times a year, making it our favorite golf course. I am absolutely floored by how much better the golf course looks and operates under the management of Billy Casper Golf. The course is immaculate, with perfect fairways, reasonably penal rough and smooth and rolling greens. The new management team has set up a good pricing structure, that should attract even the most price conscious golfer. Who needs a country club, when you have dauphin highlands at your beck and call. A truly wonderful place to play golf. The only drawback is slow play, however, there is a new ranger system in place and time will tell how effective it is at getting slow players moving.

I selected this course off the internet and it was great! I am a single digit player and the course was challenging and fun. The course was in great shape due to a regional tounament but I asked several locals if this was the norm and they said yes. The greens were cut short but they held and putt true. The fairways were great as well as the traps. The fairways are wide and generous but the high grass will humble you. I lost two balls on the front nine but came back to shoot 37 on the back. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We paid $45.00 for a Sunday morning tee time at 0700. This course is an absolute "cant miss" for the money. If I am in the area in the future, I will be back to play this course again.

Nice course but some staff were unfriendly and had the, "if you dont like it, leave" attitude. One particular guy decided to reprimand the golfers because we were using the grass instead of their mini-golf style driving range tees. Also, their clubhouse looks like a run-down elementary school so where does their prestigious image we heard of come from? Course itself was challenging and the views were nice to be fair. By the way, you dont get free drinks when you book on Golf Now even though the rates are the same as booking with them. They must not like Golf Now and they over book. So, nice course, poor staff and management.

Played this course on Sunday. Staff overbooked the course. Was forced to tee off while the group ahead of us was still putting. When we slowed down to let them finish, the group behind us nearly hit the children with us. The assistant manager came to our group asking us to leave because it was getting crowded behind us? He offered vouchers which did not even cover the cost of 18 holes our group paid for. I would not recommend this course to anyone.

The layout was a nice one, however the conditions and the incredibly SLOW pace of play left plenty to be desired. Coming from central MD, we play a lot of golf in the Commonwealth of PA, and Id have to say that there dozens of better options for a lot better value as well. Ill probably give them a year and try them again, as they have a lot of work to do right now.

Course layout pretty good. Greens have potential to be real nice, but one can tell the greens are beatup do to heavy play. Bunkers are somewhat like concrete, but I doubt theyre gonna haul more sand in this late in the season. Green fees reasonable, but IMO not worth it the way the greens are do to overplay.

Ranger doesnt do anything to monitor pace of play, they took my money for 18 holes knowing very well I wouldnt get them in bc they over book. This course plays well bc its nice and open and its condition is phenomenal but when you wait ten minutes in between holes, whats the point

Another great experience at dauphin highlands yesterday! Poured rain all morning but the course drained well and was in excellent shape for a 1230 tee time. Kind food service and beverage cart. Amazing price with cart for this quality course. Highly recommended!!!

On my way to OC Jersey... Stopped here and played 18. Great course to play! Well taken care of.... Enjoyed breakfast at the turn and great shopping deals at the end. The starter (Jeff) was very welcoming and a joy to talk with! Hope to stop back on the way home. :-)

This is easily the best course in Central PA for the money. All the guys in the shop are helpful and put the golfer above all else. Slow rounds here are rare but when I have seen them the rangers actually put in an effort to get the groups moving.

Too time. Course is a little rough here and there. Sand traps are hard to figure out, but that has always been the case at Dauphin. Lot of clay/sand. Best thing to do is avoid them. My problem not yours. Always enjoy playing at DH.

Great course around Harrisburg for varying terrain and some hills. Greens were rough but they had just aerated. Nice place, will be back in a few weeks to see if the greens smoothed out
