This museum is definitely worth seeing and its setting on the Brandywine River is very lovely and peaceful. The grounds are very beautifully landscaped with perennials. I throughly enjoyed all three tours: The N.C. Wyeth House & Studio Tour, The Andrew Wyeth Studio Tour, and also The Kuerner Farm Tour. The incredible preservation of the buildings, the grounds, and the studios is quite special. I was there during Mother’s Day weekend in 2016 and they were having a very impressive wildflower, native plant & seed sale which had an incredible variety of perennials. The Wyeth family is quite interesting to learn about.

Had our wedding here last weekend and it was awesome! DO NOT HESITATE TO BOOK HERE!! Food was served as stations and everyone loved it. Even my vegan friends had a lot to choose from. I cant say enough good things about it. It was such a beautiful and special place for photos too. If youre looking for your standard catering hall then do not book here but if you want a unique, charming wedding experience then you cant go wrong. Becky the Special Event Coordinator was nothing short of superb! She took care of us from the minute we toured the venue to the minute we left after the reception.

Nestling beside the Brandywine River, this museum is focused on the American visual artists of the Northeast and particularly the surrounding Brandywine Valley, where three generations of Wyeths (N.C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth and Jamie Wyeth) and their artistic circle lived and worked. The museum has rotating exhibitions, but the permanent collection of Wyeth paintings and drawings are a must see. The museum also features docent escorted tours of the Wyeth family home and studio and the nearby Kuerner Farm. Allow a half to full day to see it all....its really something special.

Wonderful museum in Chadds Ford, PA. They have a newly retooled museum cafe with fascinating lunch options (I had a skate sandwich, for example) and a beautiful view of the Brandywine. The museum features works by N.C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth, Jamie Wyeth, and others in the Wyeth family. We went on a tour of N.C. Wyeths home and studio, which was a short bus ride away and led by a knowledgeable and helpful guide. The special exhibition on the top floor features childrens book illustrators. Could easily spend more time at this small but beautiful museum.

We took our 1.5 year old son here on a family outing, and it was a nice visit. My son really loved the train exhibit, and it was really well done. The other parts of the museum were nice but not for a Toddler. There was lots of open space for him to walk around, and if it wasnt so cold there was a nice trail that we could have walked on. Nice place to visit, and if you have one of those entertainment books you can get a ticket for free!

So disappointing--the entire facility is under construction--the website did not make note of this. Even with the discount entrance fee it was extremely over priced all things considered. Only one part of the top floor was open, there was constant hammering and other construction sounds. Despite the high number of security guards that didnt prevent someone from taking my possessions while in the restroom.

If you like Andrew Wyeth and the Brandywine River School, this is the place for you! The building is a renovated structure that keeps a rustic contemporary attitude throughout and the views of the Brandywine River are lovely. Another unique feature of the museum is its native plant gardens which are amazing any time of year. Lunch can be bought on the first floor in a cafe behind the shop.

A wonderful location this time of year! We take our son and daughter there to see the train and doll displays. Have only visited during the day, mid-week. Perfect timing w small crowds. Unsure of the weekends. We learned this year that a AAA membership will get adults in on a buy one get one deal. Kids free up to 5.

Home to a permanent collection of artwork by Wyeth family and contemporaries. Part of the Brandywine Conservancy, the museum resides in a restored mill along the bucolic Brandywine Creek. Tours are available to the former studios of N.C. and Andrew as well as the Kuerner Farm make for a varied museum experience.

A beautiful jewel box of a museum just outside Philadelphia with collection of Wyeth family paintings and others. The N. C. Wyeth "Treasure Island" illustrations alone are worth the admission. If the weather is nice be sure to walk along the river outside the main building.

If you love Treasure Island, as i do, this is the place for you. NC Wyeth illustrated Robert Louis Stevenson book and all the original illustrations are here. In addition , you can visit the artist studios of NC Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth and Jamie Wyeth. This museum is amazing.

Beautiful building. Wonderful permanent and changing exhibits. Beautiful ourdoors. Access to Wyeth studio and farm which was the most often painted by Andrew Wyeth. NC WYETH, and Jamie Wyeth displayed also. Small cafe. Saw people tubing on Brandywine.

A real find. I grew up in the area and never knew about it, boy am I glad we visited. Beautiful grounds, a wonderfully restored building and a great collection of not just Andrew Wyeth, but his father N.C., son and other relatives. Worth the trip.

A beautiful setting for some of the finest American Art in existence. Exhibits are constantly changing throughout the year providing variety for multiple visits. The annual Christmas display is not to be missed, especially for train buffs.

Awesome museum. Make sure you go on the house and studio tour. They bus you down the street for this tour. The museum and grounds is an amazing place. Excellent, fresh food in the cafe with great view of brandywine waterway. Must visit !!

A big surprise! Loved the Andrew Wyeth watercolors and illustrations of N.C. Wyeth. The Andrew Wyeth Studio tour made the experience more meaningful! Really wonderful gift shop! Staff were so darling and helpful!

It is great to see the paintings of the Wyeth family. The galleries are always changing so when you go you always see something different. There is a nice cafeteria, and the setting of the museum is very beautiful

20th century school of realism. A wonderful experience. I took my family (from Paris, France) there and they were amazed. One of only two (with the Barnes) art museums in Philadelphia worthy of the name.

I have been going to this museum for at least ten years and it is one of my favorites. Free on Sundays to get in, but if you go on Sunday please support the museum which holds many good memories for me.

Great small museum, if you check their calendar you can find lots of activities for kids. Ive seen some great exhibits here, and the grounds are beautiful as well. Definitely worth an occasional visit!

Outstanding, small musuem. Viewed a fabulous collection of Andrew Wyeth works. Also had a great showing of Howard Pyle illustrations. Out of the way, not easy to find but very well worth the trip
