Spindrifts wines are sub-par. I get the feeling that the owners are in it for the profit and not for the crafting of great wine. When we went for a tasting we also werent impressed by the wife of the wine maker. She was extremely pushy I trying to get us to join the wine club and when we didnt show interest she was noticeably cold to us. It was bizarre and I have never experience anything like it at a winery!

Having been tasting in Hood River (and elsewhere) a bit I cant say I found the wines at Spindrift very impressive. None of the wines they had available for tasting were very flavorful. There was a barrel tasting in the back room and one of the 2011s tasted promising, but still nothing stellar. Prices are pretty standard. I didnt end up buying anything.

Going to Spindrift Cellars is always a pleasant experience. Whether with our whole family (the winery is child friendly), or just myself and my husband, we are always pleased with the amazing customer service, and wonderful wine selection.
