This was going to be a 3 star review but that was just based on the bowling lanes. The business as a whole is 4 star worthy Ill start with the lanes since that is the main attraction. The lanes themself are clean and well taken care of. The score machines/monitors have no real issues and have fun themes for kids or those just looking to add a little more fun to their game. I rate the lanes only at a 3 as Im not a fan of the material the floor is made of. For non-bowlers its not a big deal but for the experienced bowler its not very friendly. The boards on the approach are very sticky and can mess up your entire game. The lanes seem over oiled or incorrectly oiled. Ive witnessed multiple experienced bowlers either trip because of the sticky floor or have their ball go straight to the gutter with no traction for the ball to "hook". Lava Lanes makes this up with their other amenities such as well priced and tasty food, the best arcade in the Medford area and a great sports bar. This is a great place for a family night of food, fun and drink. If youre looking for a more "classic" feel to your bowling experience, check out the other bowling alley in town.

The front desk staff is so rude, so unresponsive, so everything you should not be. These people are the face for lava lanes and its an ugly one! I called in to make an appointment for my family and I . And after we had just ordered about $50 in food $25 in beer and had bowled three frames, this young rude girl that works for lava lanes came over to me and the group next to us and told us they forgot that that day there was a bowling league coming in and that we would have to leave. So she walked to the register and brings back our money for the bowling and says that we can stay to finish our food and then she turned off our lanes. So now were not bowling,yea I was refunded for the bowling only, but the experience was ruined. We dont go to lava lanes to order mediocre food and drink over priced beer. We came for the experience of everything while we were bowling. But we will definitely NEVER be coming back!!! I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!

My two grown children and their fiancées came down and we all decided to go out to eat and go bowling. I also have a 7 yr. old daughter. We all had such an AMAZING time! Its clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, the arcade is priced right & is a great value. I thought the price to bowl was very high however. Thats my only complaint for this place. I think youd get a lot more business if the prices were lower. As much fun as we all had, I havent been back since because of the cost.

Went to The Lava bar for comedy night. Comedians were really good, waitress came to our table maybe 2 times in a 4 hour period. The drinks were $7.50 each and VERY weak! Had a Mai Thai, Strawberry Daquri, and an AMF and was just a little over buzzed. (keep in mind Im only 120lbs) Other then that it was clean and the service was fast (when you could find your waitress) Probably wont go back.

took a busload of high school students after a math competition. great way to get them settled down. the shoe price was way too high for high school kids. it turned into an expensive afternoon. not sure we will be back next time. and the lunches were pretty spendy. Not too impressed. Squeezed us all together and had open lanes. Could have gone much smoother.

Awesome center! The very BEST part was Jordan in the Pro Shop! He was amazing! He took care of everything I needed same day!! I will definitely be driving 3&1/2 hours (one way) for that service!! Would have been 5 stars if they werent so stingy with the oil on the Lanes on the weekend!

Lots of lanes, even on league nights. Not enough seating for large groups in the lane so had to spread out into the space behind where we were bowling. Large arcade and a decent menu, though overpriced. Fun place to entertain large groups, especially with children.

Lanes could be better but they are really bad when ever I throw no matter how far left I am I can even loft the left gutter cap and my ball still goes Brooklyn cant control it even my spare ball which goes hell straight turns into a strike ball when I bowl there

Cleanest bowling alley I have ever been to. We had a lot of fun. This is definitely a family friendly place. There is good food, an arcade for kids with tickets and prizes, a bar for adults with pool, and of course great lanes to bowl. We will come back.

Rude people that work here. One star all the way dont support this place, horrible staff and garbage place in general. This place is a joke and you cant even enjoy ourself without getting pissed off by Mike. Hate this place and that dude

Great when their league doesnt use the ENTIRE bowling alley.. drove from GP to lava lanes to only be turned away because of league monopolizing every lane... Stay away from here on Wednesday.. other days are great!

I bowled there the lanes are sometimes like bowling on ice and sometimes its like bowling on concrete and can hardly keep it on the lane. if the lanes get better I will keep bowling there but for now no.

Fantastic place to find as I was traveling by. The high tech graphics let you take funny pictures of yourself. The bowling alley was clean and well run. I wish I had one of these near my hometown!!

Bowling, pool and a full arcade. Plenty to do for the bowler and no-bowler. Road construction on Crater Lake Hwy makes it kinda hard to get in and out but not their fault. Plenty of parking.

2016 Special Olympics Bowling Reginals was there 11/5/2016. It was a great time. Staff was great!! Athletes, Coaches, volunteers, and spectators had a great time. We look forward to 2017.

Pathetically slow for five games for five bucks Friday evening. Started doing maintenance and over half the lanes were not being played on. Finally left after 45 minutes. Disappointed.

Great fun in a nice environment. Tuesdays and Thursdays are $1 days, which is great for a date night. Food is also very good - sandwiches with the parmesan bread are amazing!

Good food, some days are more reasonably priced than others for bowling but always have a good time! Havent been to Cosmic Bowling yet but think it would be fun!

So many lanes! Lots of other activities too. Tuesday and Thursday super cheap to play in the summer
