We recently (July, 2014) treated my sister and brother in law for dinner while passing through Salem. The hostess and waitress assured us that if we didnt find what we wanted on the menu, the cook would make it for us if he had the ingredients available. First up, my sister ordered two different entrees off the paper menu (paper was inserted into a plastic slipcover) that the restaurant doesnt serve any more. Seriously? I ordered linguini alfredo with no meat because I am a vegetarian, which I explained to the waitress. The food came smothered in chicken chunks. I sent it back with express instructions for the cook not to pick out the chicken but to make a fresh plate with no meat products. The second plate came out with chicken grease pooled on top and an overwhelming chicken flavor in. On the fourth bite in, I bit into my first chunk of chicken. Again. Three different chunks of chicken later, I placed the plate to the side. My brother-in-law and my husband returned their steaks because they were cooked wrong and had the wrong vegetable orders. I added my second plate to the batch being returned and said that it still had meat in it. The waitress said, "No, theres no meat in there. The cook expressly said he made up a new batch with no chicken. You must have bitten into something else." Really? What kind of chewy meat chunks come in linguini alfredo with no meat? So, to top off the travesty of a meal off, the lazy cook first tried to pass off a the substitute linguini plate containing meat products as vegetarian when he knew it was full of meat product. Then he lied about it. Then he lied to cover his lie. This, of course, cleared up any confusion about whether or not it was an honest mixup. When I lost my temper and told her that I know meat when I taste it, she threw up her and hands and said, "Dont shoot me, Im just the messenger." Really? She waltzed back later and placed a third plate in front me. There were no meat products. The linquini was overdone and mushy. The sauce was tasteless. Even though the menu advertised a $5 decorking fee on our wine, they charged us $20. Our experience was the very worst dining experience on all levels that we have ever encountered.

Where do I start...The People were nice BUT my review is concerning Mothers Day Brunch. The food quality was VERY poor. The eggs tasted like rubber but the worst part was the taste from the reused oil, you could tell they didnt use fresh oil, so it tainted the food. The bacon was under cooked, the OJ was given to us warm? The coffee was cold and when asked to provide hot coffee they stated they didnt have a way to serve hot coffee. My daughter, wife and mother did not even eat there food when it was cleaned off the table know one even asked why it hadnt been eaten. The point here is whoever owns the business needs a 101 in good cooking. We would not return beware!

When it came to service we were overlooked. The waitress didnt bring me my drink until I was half way done with my food. When they finally did it was flat so they gave me a 20oz bottle of coke instead. They served my wife corn that had gone bad. My burger was mediocre at best. Barely gave me any ketchup, decided not to ask for more because they would bring it way after I needed it anyways.
