What a disappointment. After spending the day day tasting wines at smaller tasting rooms in the area we decided to end the day at Argyle. It had been recommended to us. For $25 dollars you are given your glass and. A " dance card" for 5 samplings. First of all it is a little over the top to have your samples checked off- it really makes you feel as though they think people are going to gouge them by getting samples over and over again. Then come the samples- they are so small it is barely a sip. For $25 you end up with not even a half of glass of wine. Definitely felt ripped off. Then add on the air of superiotity that the employees have- just makes the experience even worse. My advice- stick to the smaller vineyards that have better wines, down to earth people and decent samples somyou can actually get an idea of what the wines taste like!

Never had such rude service, we walked at five on the nose. the tasters walked us away from the host to have her tell us they were closed. With a room full of guests. Its a simple concept of customer service. Ive been a server and had people come in at closing. I put a smile on and I helped them hoping to make more money. Several other winerys in the area would accept people 15 minutes after closing happily and caring for the guests coming to their doors. Those are the ones we spent money at, and those are the ones we will return to. We tried to squeeze in Argyle because we were referred there at the end. Choosing them over another winery we wanted to check out. I wouldnt go there again.

First off, the wine is amazing. However, I would have preferred if the woman "assisting" us had kept silent. It was hard to enjoy the incredible Pinot Noirs that Argyle makes with her yabbering on and on about how she is a "martini girl" and how she thought Pinot Noir was crap until she started working for Argyle (was that an attempted sell right there?) I cant say that she was a good example of the customer service since we saw two other people working who seemed to be very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what they were serving. If you do go to Argyle, which I hope you do for the wine alone, please try to avoid the tanorexic brunette: shell only ruin the experience.

We planned on visiting Argyles tasting room on our way to the beach for our anniversery, however the traffic in Dundee was screwed up as usual. It took us 45 minutes just to get through town and we were afraid to stop because we didnt want to be late for a dinner reservation we had at the beach. I would avoid any of the wineries or tasting rooms in the Dundee area, unless you have a couple of extra hours to spend in traffic. The area businesses need to get on their elected officials to fix the problem.

We have had a very pleasant experience at Argyle winery tasting room with the help of Hannah (the tall blond), who was very informative and delightful to talk with. She was very generous with her pourings and descriptions of the wine making process. We absolutely love the set of wine glasses which we purchased from her and we are using them frequently in our second home in Indian Wells, CA.

Sometimes they have a bottle that just fits the niche, but on most days I try to avoid the "douche factor" at the bar. Most of the staff acts like a temp trying to just get through the day. They have some good bubbly to choose from, and the top end Pinot can be rather good. The space is nice, but with the lack of good employees and the bus crowd I tend to skip this stop.

Incredible rude, especially the manager. I took a couple on a wine tour and they asked for Argyle specifically. When we got inside the told us they were closing in 16 minutes and were not doing any more tastings. So the couple asked if they could buy one of thier favorite bottles and was told no( this was a $50 bottle they wanted). I will never recommend Argyle again.

Very nice wine tasting venue and great passionate people that know their wine serve up some great tasting wine at the Argyle Winery. Located about 30 minutes South of Portland its a convenient and nice drive to get away form the city and venture outside of Portland. Their wines are competitively priced and are great tasting.

We had an amazing time here today! Ali was our host and she was wonderful - like seriously amazing! They have 3 tasting options currently priced at $18 each. Theyre known for their bubblies, and they did not disappoint! This is just a great stop if youre doing a wine tour in the Dundee/Newberg area.

terrible customer serice, they were rude and short and they didnt do what they could to help guests feel welcome. dont go here there are plenty of other winerys around that will give above and beyond for their guests instead of treating you like some unimportant inconvenience they have to deal with.

Average pinot, but some good sparkling wines, which can be hard to find around Portland. A cute little tasting room, but the staff usually seem like they are just going through the motions, and the tasting fee was on the steep side. Very convenient location right off 99 in Dundee.

We enjoyed a flight of sparkling wines at Argyle, as thats what their known for. The young lady that did our tasting was very nice and really informative. The sparkling wines really were quite good. The tasting room is nice but not a very relaxing spot due to the busy road.

The server and the hostess seemed annoyed by us the second we walked in... we asked the sir outside and the server responded with "well I mean if you want me to work harder I guess!". Not the experience we were looking for on our fun day.

Nice tasting room but the service has taken a dive from the good ol days. Seems to have crossed the line from boutique winery with wine tasting room in a house to a grand operation with substantial tasting fees.

Really nice place. It can be pretty busy on the weekends. It is a much nicer laid back experience on a weekday when you can talk to the staff instead of just ordering. They are always very friendly.

Great service in a nice, modern building. Our server (Cynthia, I believe) had the perfect balance of knowledge, attentiveness and charm. Great wines and fair pricing. Well worth a visit, will be back

Great Pinots (like so many in this area), however what makes them unique is their sparkling wines. Sparkling Pinot in white and Rose? Yes I think so!

Their new tasting building is amazing! They make some of my favorite sparkling wine and pinots. The staff was great and made our experience awesome!

The wines were good. The atmosphere as you walk up looks very down to earth but very quickly becomes snobbish and not as inviting.
