This was our first of 10 wineries over 4 days. We discovered Merrys wines at a friends house party recently. What a great start! STAFF: 5 stars. Esposa and I had a tasting by appointment in a private room, joined by 3 wine noobs. The staff told us about Merrys personal story then delved into each wine. He was personable and approachable. Very nice. He adjusted his presentation to account for a range of wine knowledge and tastes. FACILITY: 4 stars. This is a nice facility with a cute little outdoor garden, patio, and fountain. The lobby is a bit business-like. The tasting rooms are off to the sides. WINE: 5 stars. We tasted white, red, then white again. What? Yeah, though their Pinot Noirs are very good, it is their Sauvignon Blanc that is the true star. I personally am not a fan of Sauvignon Blanc, because most wineries make it too acidic with strong tones of grapefruit. Merry takes a unique approach by barrel aging, which adds complexity and warmth, balancing out the acidity. The result is an ultra-smooth and, frankly, unusual white wine. It belongs at the end of the tasting becuase it stands up to the reds. The was the ONLY Sauvignon Blanc we purchased on this trip!

I have never visited the winery, but Ive ordered wine from Merry Edwards for many years. I was very surprised to see the comment complaining of poor service. The employees Ive dealt with over the years by telephone (most recently today) have always been courteous, informed and accommodating. Merry Edwards consistently produces wine of the highest quality and Ive never had any reason to fault the service provided.

Wow, this is great wine--definitely worth 5 stars on the quality--just wish it was a bit more affordable! All of the the Pinots have more robustness and flavor than the typical CA/OR Pinots--perhaps a little more in the French tradition? Great tasting room and place to visit. Do not forget their their Sav Blanc--really good.

I have been enjoying Mary Edwards wines for over 16 years and appreciate the consistent quality and purity of each new vintage. If you love Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and/or Pinot Noir, this is the place! The tasting room welcome and tasting was warm and genuine. I will be back again soon.

The best pinot noir I have ever tasted. All the wines are excellent. I do not agree with the previous reviewer in terms of the staff. It is a very professionally run winery and everyone, from top to bottom, is accommodating and attentive.

Great tasting experience. It was very personal and conducted in a group setting. The pourer was very knowledgeable about the wines and terroir. As always, the Pinots are outstanding but a must buy is the Sauvignon Blanc.

Free wine testing. 5 different kinds of delicious wines. Nice quiet place. Modern facility with solar panels and very clear and automatically supporting manufacturing.

It was early in the morning...but the tasting room was open. I got great descriptions of the wines. I am loving the Sauvignon Blanc with oak....who knew?
