The lake itself is disgusting. I took a water sample from the docks, and the colour was putrid yellow. The lake is overgrown with aquatic vegetation, the smell from the all the duck feces, dead fish, and even the lake itself is repulsive. Not to mention that the lake is infested with carp. I see trucks come and go taking thousands of carp from the lake to the cat food factory. In the winter, the lake isnt that bad- the water becomes to cold for the aquatic vegetation to grow, the ducks migrate, and the pesky fishermen are gone. The smell seems to go away. Towards spring, the lake becomes a fishing Mecca, but the fish in that lake are limited to stocked trout and warm-water species. Ive caught hatchery trout, bass, war mouth, pumpkinseed, bluegill, and carp there. In the summer the lake becomes a putrid mud hole that is overgrown with weeds and the lake becomes rancid. You know that polluted lake from the Simpsons movie? Thats literally this lake.

Cute park . Great for walking laps and also great for kids. Although the play structure is always extremely crowded every time Ive been here. But right across the street is a small park with a play structure that no one is ever on. My daughter is one year old and every time I come here there is about 15 7 - 10 year olds that are very rambunctious. So I take her across the street for the slides. That would be my only complaint. But thats not really the parks fault. Its also great for feeding ducks and geese.

Commonwealth Lake Park is a treasure. You can see herons, egrets, frogs, ducks, geese, nutria, crayfish and every once in awhile, mink. You can fish, walk-run-bike the path or watch your kids play on the play structures. You can also bring a picnic and eat on the picnic tables. And yes, you can play Pokemon Go. It has two Pokemon Go gyms and six Pokestops. The path is .08 miles around the lake.

This is a beautiful park with open fishing within the city. The lake is filled with plant life and seems a bit shallow almost every reel back in had some attached. Tons and tons of frogs and tadpoles. Good play structures and walking. Multiple peers to fish from or lake side grassy areas. Although we did not catch any fish I did see some in the lake.

Depending on your purpose, this park is either perfect or meh. Kids play structures abound, park Lanes interfere in any potential fishing opportunities, but as a Beaverton park goes, not terrible. Clean and easily accessible, it is a destination for the whole family to go and everyone will potentially find something they enjoy

Great for families, pet owners, athletes, and anyone who appreciates nature. Lots of wildlife if you look closely; frogs, nutria, heron, ducks, and fish ranging from little guys to some japanese carp that are a good yard long. The condos that went up right next to the park ruin it for me which is why I didnt give it 5 stars.

Would be way better if they turned the soccer field into a dog park, and also if the locals treated peoples and there dogs better would be awesome as there is some some uppity people who frequent here. People shyed away from my dogs and I, Im disabled and my dogs are service animals.

I love going for a walk at this Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation Park. It is well kept, handicapped friendly, peaceful and full of all kinds of birds, frogs and geese. There is a play structure for kids and an outhouse. And in the summer the soccer fields are used often.

If you can get past the frequent smell of stagnant water and goose droppings, this park has a nice long paved loop with some cute little bridges and benches overlooking the lake. I find this park more enjoyable during the rainy months when the smell isnt as overpowering.

First shot finding a park near my apartment and I hit the jackpot here. Well manicured grasses, pick nick tables and benches, a trail that loops around, ducks and geese. And everyone i saw seemed rather friendly. Ill be frequenting this place.

Fun place to just hang out, it has a playground in case youre bringing kids. There will often be soccer games in the park next to the playground on the weekends, so just keep that in mind.

Family oriented, very fun, lots of "wildlife" to see (just dont feed the wildlife and you wont be hassled by them too bad!)
