When we drove up we actually thought it was closed. It looked like a ghost town with all the flower beds dead and the weeds instead of grass. Especially the 2 large dead planters on either side of the door. But when we tried the door they were open. We were greeted by a very friendly dog. Im a huge dog lover but the smell of dog and the dirty floors were a big turn off. Then as we sampled the wine ($1.00 for barely a sip when the previous 4 wineries we went that day were ,50) Anyway, the cute dog kept stealing corks and bowls from behind the bar, yeah cute until the server/bar maid put the bowl that was just in his mouth on top of the clean coffee cups. Its one thing to have my own dog slobber on me but not really keen on a strangers dog. The wine was good and we bought 2 bottles. This could be a gold mine if they clean the place up.

Out of the wineries we visited while in the region, this was one of the best all-around experiences we had. To start, it was a beautiful location, in a modern-rustic barn overlooking vineyards and the pond, with plenty of seating and a cozy loft. The wine was great as well, with several unique varietals which were well suited to the region. To top it all off, the service was great, with a very knowledgeable and conversational bartender. It was a great way to end the afternoon and I am excited to return.

I cant say enough good things about Vermilion Valley Vineyards! My husband and I enjoy going there so much. In fact, we had our wedding there! The whole experience was incredible! The wine, the food, the scenery, the service, all great! Kristi and Joe (and staff) did an amazing job! Every one of our guests had good things to say! We live about an hour and a half away, but love to "get away" to Vermilion as often as we can!

Delicious palette of wines ranging from Dry to Fruity. Contemporary classy winery in a country rustic setting. The food is tasty and the music is pretty good! Live bands play on most Friday and Saturday nights. My husband and I visit so often we are like family!

Hidden little gems near Vermillion. If youre following Google, drive a few hundred feet further and youll find it. Wonderful grounds. The facility is located in the middle of the vineyards.

Admittedly, we did get here right when they opened, but they didnt have any food. They were waiting for it to be delivered. Had a glass of wine then had to leave to get food somewhere else.
