DO NOT play here during the week...or at least while school is in. As I teed up on the 9th box, 100 school children appeared about 150 yards in front of us. They were on a field trip...what? No golf course lets pedestrians walk or jog on the course because its inherently dangerous. But youll march 100 school kids into the fairway...? The superintendent was with the group and walked...I mean slowly...toward us and started raving about going around the kids. I asked how long it would take and he yelled, "Hey, if you dont like it, go get your money back!!!" Im not sure these guys understand that golf is still a service industry and theirs was the WORST today. No notice when we checked in ("Hey, you may run into a 100 school kids while youre out there.") and only guff from the super. Wow. As for the course, the fairways were in good shape, the rough is like the U.S. Open, and the greens were incredibly lumpy with about three different kinds of poa competing for space. This is not that great a track to treat people this way. If you want to bring a couple of bus loads of kids onto the course, close the course but dont yell at the patrons when they ask what in the world is going on.

Safari recently went through a redesign, which has added to the challenge of the course. The front nine has many of the existing holes from the past, but the back nine offers a new challenge that really tests golfers ability to hit the straight ball. The staff is nice, but they have regressed some compared to past years and the course is always well kept. A little pricey, but if you can get a good deal, its worth the time and money.

This golf course is awful. I would not recommend this course to anyone. I am from out of town and booked a tee time for 10:06. I arrived at 10:10 and was rudely told that I could not go out for 2 hours because I was four minutes late. The course wasnt worth the wait or greens fee. I visit Columbus from time to time and there are much better courses for your money. Dont golf here.

One of the nicest and well maintained public courses in Central Ohio. Its more expensive than most public courses in the area but its very well maintained. On any weekend or holiday you likely wont be able to get on without booking a tee time a few days in advance.

My grandchildren and I spent an entire evening there. We played miniature gold, the arcade games and the inside gym. They had fun turning in the tickets they won for the cheap little prizes. I wish they had more food choices though.

Nice surprise for a public course. Great condition with a bunch of truly beautiful holes. I need advice on how to play #18 though, where a creek runs down the fairway and crisscrosses it 3 times!

My dads favorite place to go golfing! If you are afraid of getting stuck in zoo traffic and whatnot then dont worry, the zoo and the golf course are completely separate.

If your goal is to pay an above average price and get treated like a child from grumpy old white men then this is the course for you.

Very open and well designed. Does involve driving cart a little more than usual, but very well worth the money. A must see course

I enjoy this course. Well kept, challenging greens and often forgiving fairways. I love 16, 17 and 18 to close it out.
