I was skeptical that renovating this park would help the area. I figured it would just be the same homeless people hanging out in a much nicer park. They are still around, but so are tons of "regular" folks too. The layout of the park is nice. I like the large open area and stage - I wish there were more shows here. People (ok, kids) seem to really enjoy the water features in the summer. And the area for dogs is always being used. There is also a little playground. I havent been in the parking garge but I think its massive and probably benefits the area more than anything else. The area is still in transition - so you need to be careful, especially if you venture outside the park and onto side streets. During the day its relatively safe - but alone lost/drunk at night wandering down alleys is a good way to get mugged. Just use common sense and you will be fine.

Its literally a huge park in the center of downtown that is completely family friendly. Theres limited street parking but theres a garage underneath the park that you can park in for less than $10 (if theres space). Bring a pet and play catch, or bring your kids and play in the sand! Theres even trees to sit under and read a book. Yes, they have public restrooms. In the summer, the water sprinklers are turned on so you can run through it (no swimming pool here). Kids love it. Throughout the year, there are tons of family friendly events held here, like The City Flea or Lumenocity. Some events are free to visit and others arent. Overall, Washington Park is a great place! Just bring cash or credit card for parking and/or shopping - just in case. P.S. - Ive even seen a public wedding held here! It was so pretty! Love it and will be returning!

I attended a Shakespeare in the Park production of The Merry Wives of Windsor at Washington Parks Performance Stage. We used the two level, underground parking garage located at Race Street and 13th,or you can also enter from Elm Street across from Music Hall. Local guide Tip: For a fast exit remember to pay for your parking at the Automated pay stations located in any one of the 3 elevator lobbies. The Performance Stage venue has a small raised stage with several loudspeakers and minimal stage lighting. There are a several park benches on the parameter for seating but I would suggest bring a chair for future events. They also have two public restrooms and ATMs. Other attractions include Interactive Water park,Playground,Dog Park,

Its a very clean park that has been remodeled with many very nice friendly people it has a dog section but over all pet friendly. They hold various festivals and events for all walks of life overall cincinnati is very unique because of the diversity yet everyone coincides we each other. The day time kids everyone can attend whatevers going on there and at night its crack ville heaven lol just sayin. Hopefully inn time the drug use and homeless epidemic will be resolved but regardless the people of the night there do not harm anyone at all they just smoke crack drink n chill very different than any other place the nicest people i have ever known so unique.

I really wanted to like this lot but its totally unfair in the pricing policies, so I will complain until this is changed. We arrived in 2 cars to eat dinner at a local restaurant. The first car entered and paid 8 dollars for special event pre paid parking at the race street entrance.... less than 7 minutes later the rest of the party in a different car entered the parking garage through the same entrance and received a ticket. At the end of the meal both car exited at the same time with the ticket holder only paying 2 dollars.......TOTALLY WRONG!!!! BEWARE OF THIS PRACTICE....THE LOCAL BUSINESSES WILL SUFFER

Lunch in the park remembering the times my grandfather would have lunch with me at school on his break from General Motors. He would bring me to a different park, different times we would talk about the history of that park or the person it was named after. I remember the old Washington Park and as I was eating lunch looking at the beauty around me I couldnt help but wonder just how much my Grandfather would LOVE this place as well. The children playing in the kids area, a dog area, water area, adult area, and even a grass area to lie around in or toss frisbee ?? What a beautiful park, Thank You Cincinnati.

This park is great for all ages! Theres a little man-made stream of water that my ten month old loves to play in. Theres also a jungle jim and a bigger water play area thats great for older kids. If youre over twenty-one youd probably enjoy the bar, the concerts and other events that go on here. My personal favorite is the Cincinnati Flea. I believe it happens once a month. It draws quite a crowd, so parking is usually more expensive and harder to find. But there a tons of local artists selling jewelry, clothing and decor. There are also food trucks so you can grab some grub!

One of the polished gems of the Queen City that is right in the heart of Over the Rhine. Easy parking beneath the park makes visiting easy, so many use it as a starting point for visiting the other things that OTR has to offer (great shopping, food, and nightlife). Lots of great events happening throughout the year keep this civic space active and a destination thats worth coming back to again and again. Concerts, city flea markets, kickball, the dog park, and more makes this a hub for many in the community as well as visitors.

Nice park to enjoy a day out with kids or just to relax. Like the outside bar ideal when its open. Doggie park sand for the kiddies and water sprayers in the warmer days. Always great events happening there that are free! Parking overly priced $10. Love when the food trucks are out. The park is kept clean even the homeless are interactive not scary to be around. Pack your picnic and enjoy the day out with you friends and family. Get your free workout in as well. Check out their events page always things going on.

I have had to openly apologize to the city of Cincinnati because three years ago when they were talking about the renovation of Washington Park I was so skeptical and said they would never be able to clear out the homeless, hookers, and heroin addicts to make the general public feel safe and secure. I could not have been more wrong. Washington Park is a gleaming Jewel once again on the city of Cincinnati a place for all people every time I can come and go relax, play, and enjoy all that the Queen City has to offer

Since the renovation, Washington Park has become a great place for family fun and adult activities. With an outside bar for the grown ups, a splash area and play ground for the kids and a wonderful dog park for the four legged fur babies. With lots of green space for lounging around or a pick-up game of kick ball, music events, group workouts and movies on the lawn you will be guaranteed a fun filled day exploring this gem in the heart of Cincinnatis Over The Rhine District.

There is nothing special about this park, except for the quality of the events. If you want culture or diversity, go to Mason, or go to West Chester. This is not diverse. It is the same over the rhine as always. I would never recommend taking kids there, youll have eyes all over you. ****update- stray bullets lying on the playgrounds...an 18 yr old shot to death in front of your children....sad.....stop lying to yourselves, this is no place for children
