Just this past weekend after shopping on Ludlow my husband and I decided to try Olives for the first time. We entered Olives no greeting from any staff, proceeded to sit in the bar area. There was a manager a two other staff the bartender said have a seat. Over 5 min. later and looking around and watching the staff talk among each other and the bartender trying to clean glasses. Then our sever came over not to announce her name and got a drink order in and appitizer ordered. We then ordered our dinner. 15 min. in and still no appitizer the server came out to tell me they were out of the steak dinner. We got another round of drinks that were servered in foggy, spotty, lipstick stained glasses and have never seen a margeriata that was orange in color. My salad came out before our appitizer that finnally arrived 30 min. later. We had to go to the server station to pick up salt, pepper and napkins. When the dinners came out my husbands stuffed pizza was sitting in a plate of grease. And my pasta and the sauce appeared that it had set in a window for quite some time it was sticky, hard, cold. they were not busy. We were upset so I went off to find a manager. Scott listened to what I said seemed to not really care. I explained myself and that I am a resturante manager and I am fulltime behind my companys bar. I let him know I was appauled at this experiance, he said this can happen sometimes, you know that. I told him this was more than a simple mistake and that experiance should never happen to anyone and I also encourange you to wash your glasses. I looked around to point out the glasswear hanging and how it was so dirty and also a lady at the bar drinking a beer you cant see through her glass. He blammed it on water softner problems. We never ate dinner and still paid $50.00 dont waste your time or money. I think the health department needs to take a look.

My daughter is a UC student and lives directly across from your restaurant. Whenever we visit her we always come to your restaurant for food. We have been there for the Sunday brunches, lunches and dinners and we just love to come in. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is welcoming and we have never once had bad service. The service is so amazing that I would like to share my latest experience with you. Just this afternoon, Sunday, January 5th, I found out my daughter wasnt feeling well. Anyone who is a mother knows how helpless you feel to be over an hour away and not be able to help. I so wanted to go to her to make sure she was taking care of herself, but also knowing that she probably wasnt going to do what I would do for her. I decided to do the next best thing. I phoned your restaurant to see if you delivered but found out you did not. I must say how touched I was when the employee who answered the phone offered to walk three orders of soup across the street to my sick daughter. It is this type of an employee and this type of service that makes your restaurant stand out from all of the others. I appreciate the extra effort your staff went to ease the mind of a mother who couldnt be there for her daughter. I simply would like to make others aware of how your restaurant rates so highly in the hearts of two parents who could not be there for their child. Thank you with all of our hearts.

My family and I dined at Olives and were very impressed. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The food was promptly delivered, beautifully presented and delicious. I had the Wild Mushroom and Artichoke Strudle appetizer, which was such a nice contrast of crusty pastry and smooth filling that I was wishing I had ordered two, one as an appetizer and one as dinner. Then, my dinner came. I had the pan seared Sea Bass. The flesh was so flaky and sweet--cooked to exact finish. The rice pilaf was a good compliment to the fish, nutty vs sweet. There were six of us at table, and even my kids (ages 5 & 7) were delighted with their meals. We had among us amish chicken, half rack of pork, fried calamari, shrimp and crab cocktail, chicken fricasee and desserts. The food was uniformly excellent. I would not classify Olives as a family restaurant, if saying they are a family restaurant conjures images of tables of screaming kids. The atmosphere at Olives is upscale, subdued, gracious. Olives staff does everything to welcome families with children, from offers of booster seats to crayons; and yet, somehow, they manage to avoid becoming a playground (I know you know what I mean). We had kids with us, and there were other tables with kids, but all seemed accustomed to restaurant dining and the behavior of kids and adults alike was appropriate. I highly recommend Olives.

This venue could be the best in town but there is somewhat of an identity crisis happening in the concert hall. The airplane style/movie theatre seats do not work for live music. Coupled with dinner and drink service it is an endless parade of guests and staff backed up and down the aisle. This concept only works in the first few rows while the rest of the room is constantly interrupted. Dont try to reinvent the wheel - if the entire room was high top tables with comfortable seating - it would certainly be easier to have bar service and have great sight lines for the show. I strongly suggest trying your movie theatre seats on the far left wing for those who want that experience but have high top tables for the rest of the room. At a minimum, you would have the best live jazz lounge in town, and a perfect GA venue if the tables are removed for certain shows. Use tables - much easier to sell drinks and food and a much better experience for your guests! Nothing takes you out of the live music experience like a plate of nachos being passed over your head - just use tables!

Ordered tickets for Eric Krasno, show got cancelled and no refund. Its been 3 months, show was on Oct 27; Ive called Ludlow Garage 7 times and was given reassurances that theyd follow up and get a refund. Nothing. No one contacted me, they said whatever it took to get me off the phone. Finally I filed a credit dispute with my credit card company and guess what? The merchant denied it and said the show occurred. They sent proof of the tickets they sent me to my credit card and claimed the show happened! Ive since forwarded my cancellation email to my credit card company. Eventbright are crooks, Ludlow Garage has no accountability. Ive seen one other show here, John Scofield. We paid for front row tickets only to be seated behind the piano player with no view of the band. Warning, do not sit to the left of the stage. This place needs better management. If you do go to a show here, hope that it doesnt get cancelled, because theyll try to keep your money.

Cincinnati, you are sound asleep if you miss this amazing music venue!!! The other night Marcia Ball, whose "groove-laden New Orleans boogie, deeply soulful ballads and rollicking Gulf Coast blues have made her a one-of-a-kind favorite with music fans all over the world. In 2010, she was inducted into the Gulf Coast Hall Of Fame and in 2012 into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. Shes received a total of six Living Blues Awards and nine Blues Music Awards (and has a whopping 42 nominations). Shes received five Grammy Award nominations.", played to a shamefully small crowd. In any other town, tickets would be quickly scooped up. Maybe you werent around during the garages early music history but you need to come enjoy the top performers that are happening at this charming, historic, and rocking location! You can even get a meal before the show. I plan to come back and try that next time. Get on the feed to find out whos coming next.
