Saw BEYONCÉs FORMATION WORLD TOUR here and it absolutely friggen blew my mind. But Im not rating her tour, Im rating the stadium and its staff. During this tour, as you may recall, there was an intense thunderstorm that caused Beyoncé to call for a delay in the performance that would last indefinitely since there was no telling how long the storm would last. Well... the staff/security decided that rather than allowing everyone to seek shelter in the structures that make up the stadiums covered areas (those structures being surrounded by stadium lights that must be roughly 100 ft tall which would act as perfect lightning rods in the event that a bolt were to strike nearby) that they were going to make everyone leave the stadium by exiting through the gates and forcing them out into a massive open gravel lot filled with cars and shorter exposed metal lighting features that greatly increased the likelihood of being struck by lightning for the average concertgoer. Despite my efforts to stay as close to the concrete covered structure in a location where there were insulated metal poles far above my elevation to protect me from the storm, they rudely screamed at me until I was forced out of the stadium. First of all, from an event management perspective, it never should have gotten to this point. Rather than rushing hordes of panicked people across a massive field of gravel and cars to get to shelter in the indoor athletic field structure they were trying to use as a temporary gathering area for the attendees to take refuge in during the storm, they should have made a call to postpone the performance until a later hour when the storm had passed. All of this timing could have been predicted just by taking a short glance at the radar. Hours before the storm was coming (since it was super obvious it had been building for hours before the concert) the stadium managers could have called for the evacuation, but instead they waited until it was there imposing immediate danger upon everyone they were forcing out of their establishment. Lives were put at risk for this stupid procedural evacuation that came much too late, and I absolutely lost every shred of faith or respect I had for the people in charge of this venue.

-5* -5* -5*I tried to attend the formation tour on may 3rd. We sat in traffic for 3 hours they didnt have enough parking for the tickets that were sold. We finally got in the venue at 9:30 and no one could help us find our seats. The concert shut down at 10 saying she would return. When they cleared the stadium we all thought beyonce would be back on but security got on the Bull Horn and demanded that we leave. He said the show was over. So doing as we were told we left! It only took 10 mins to leave and get to I-40 so idk why it took 3 hours to park. Beyonce took the stage again and finished the concert but we missed everything due to lack of organizations on the venue part! SHAME ON YOU CARTER-FINLEY STADIUM. taking peoples money and not being organized. People please dont attend a concert here they rip ppl off! If I could give negative stars I would this was a hot mess! -5*

Clean and has plenty of vendors that take credit cards. However they need to do better when it comes to checking bags for security. NCSU did a horrible job this past weekend of informing its homecoming returning alumni of the new clear bag only policy. Once the stadium realized that the alumni had not been informed in advance they should have allowed the alumni to empty all the contents of their bags into the provided clear bags and allowed the alumni inside with the empty original bag. Unfortunately they did not and ask them to walk a mile or two back to their cars in order to keep their original bags. Horrible customer service.

I took an ap test here and the whole time I was thinking how nice it would be to drop back in the pocket and hear the crowd chanting my name. I would give the ball a little spin in my fingers while I was eyeing up my target. I grip the ball and throw it perfectly across my body and it glides effortlessly into the basket that my received has created with his arms. I then see the clock hit zero Ive just done it! I won the national championship of college football. Then I came back to reality and Drew 2 pictures instead of essays.

I attended a concert at this venue it was absolutely ridiculous. There wasnt enough assistance for drivers to enter the parking area, and because of the lack of organization we were in traffic for over 3 hours going and 2 hours leaving. Also, there was a storm before the show and this venue did a horrible job of communicating schedule changes with people arriving.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Parking and overall managing of traffic was disgusting. I am unsure if it was even thought out. After speaking with others, it appears to be the situation often. Tickets should be discounted if you miss half a show due to poor managing of traffic and parking. I would recommend finding another nearby venue to attend events.

We attended a Rolling Stones concert at Carter-Finley last June. Naturally, there were 16,000 fans descending on the venue. However, the Police and Security had the parking situation and entrances/exits well marked and patrolled to keep things orderly. We enjoyed the concert and the crowd control experience. It was well-handled.

This is the huge stadium were at North Carolina State plays football. Its a fine facility with plenty of parking for all the attendees. Be aware you may have to walk a distance to park. Its very near the state fairgrounds so if theres a game when the state fair is on there can be huge traffic problems.

Carter-Finley Stadium was a great experience. I really liked the wolf statue out front it is beautiful. The stadium is in a great location in Raleigh, NC. In Oct when the fair is in town we always make it priority to take pictures at the stadium before going into the fair next door.

This stadium is usually packed, but, while you do have to wait in lines (parking and getting in) they do a decent job of getting people through the lines quickly. Good selection of expensive food and drinks and desserts. Fairly clean restrooms for such a large venue.

The home of NCState Football! Nicely updated and expanded, but still an intimate football experience. Be ready for rowdy fans, rough language, and stressful games. But at least the most dangerous marching band in America will offer some comic relief.

Great venue. I have been to both football games and concerts here and feel safe and secure. Security is thorough though not overbearing. Make sure you know what you can and cannot bring into the stadium since it may be a long walk back to your car.

I didnt go to NC State, but I enjoyed my first game here. Sat right next to the visiting band, which was fun. They dont sell beer, which is kind of a bummer but not their fault -- state law doesnt allow it even though the ACC does.

Great stadium for the NCSU Wolfpack! But their bag limitations are a little constricting. Luckily they sell bags specifically for going into Carter-Finley... Which sounds a lot like a cheap way to make more money.
