My family has been visiting this winery for years and we have always been pleased with the wine variety and atmosphere. My husband and I recently got married at Weathervane in April - we chose the location because it is beautiful, has an outdoor space and an indoor event space, and the staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and hospitable. The day was perfect, and everything about the venue was incredible. The event space has plenty of space for tables - the venue has tables and chairs to use. There is a kitchen for the caterer, a DJ they recommended (we paid for him, but he was EXCELLENT), and 2 rooms for the bridal parties to get ready. If we were to get married again, we would do it at the same place. And we will continue to come back for the excellent wine! Thank you, Weathervane!

The outside of Weathervane Winery is attractive. Surprisingly there was no wait on a Saturday mid afternoon. The lady who poured the samples was nice, but nothing special to stand out. I wasnt floored by any of the wines. Where the visit went south was when my friend and I gave the lady our orders. She pulled one bottle and then started helping someone who had been drinking a glass and was finished and ready to check out with her bottles of wine for a wedding. The customers mother made a rude comment, which we did not respond to. About 5 minutes later, the lady returned to check us out. We didnt bother to tell her we wanted additional wine. We paid for the sampling and the one bottle and left. We were spoiled by Native Winery which is close by.

I never used to drink wine before I was introduced to Weathervane Winery and a friend who had not either highly recommended it. I am now a wine club member and every visit from the first time 2 years ago until now is always great. The wine is the best I have ever had and reasonably priced for the quality. I appreciate the discounts and annual club dinners as well. We always look forward to that and have a great time at all the events.

AUG 2017 We went back again. This time brought friends. Same great musician was playing and singing. Made for a lovely Sunday break for 30 minutes sipping a glass of tropical white wine in courtyard. Lovely! JUNE 2017 We went for a Sunday afternoon wine tasting and to hear a guitarist play in the patio. Lovely music, nice employees, and DELICIOUS sweet wine options. We will be back with a group of friends this summer. Fun!

Ive visited over 40 wineries in N.C. Weathervane is my favorite. Heres why: very friendly staff, nice location, plenty of seating (inside and out), and a great variety of wines--including my favorites (the sweeter ones). However, if youre interested in the dreaded dry wines, they have plenty of them, but for the life of me, I cant understand why people like that dry stuff. Trust me, youll love Weathervane!

I have gone a couple of times and really enjoyed the wine and experience. My Mom was in town over the weekend and we drove 30 minutes to the winery. The website said they were open but when we got there they were closed. A note on the door saying closed for Easter. They should have updated their website with their holiday hours, so we wouldnt have driven out of our way for nothing.

I have never been a wine drinker but after having attended a Wine & Design with a co-worker, I am now. Well - Im a Weathervane wine drinker. That seems to be the only wine I like to drink. I have visited the winery once and the staff were so helpful and friendly. It was terrible day outside so I didnt get to tour but I will be back. Especially when I need to stock up. :-)

My wife and I decided to go to Lexington on a wine tasting trip where there were two vineyards we wanted to try. We like the Weathervane the best, since we liked all of the sweet wines (bought 2 each). We have also ordered online later in the year (again 2 each). We will be ordering again soon, just wish they had an outlet nearer to Durham/Raleigh area. Thanks

My first trip to Weathervane Winery was a total disappointment. When I heard the advertisement on the radio and looked up Friday night entertainment I was expecting live music. I dont believe that a disco DJ falls into that category. The chardonnay was ok. Will find a vineyard closer to home to spend my next night off.

I bought this wine at the Southern Christmas Show in Charlotte this year. It was my first experience tasting their wines. They are amazing, their Santas Blush Sangria is out of this world and my husband and I are going on a road trip just to get this wine. You will not be disappointed if you like a semi sweet wine.

The atmosphere, the people everything was just so nice, relaxed and comfortable.... The wines were outstanding..... We bought a case for the first time after visiting several Wineries. Sid and Miranda are Awesome! In addition to having a beautiful vineyard, great selection of wines and a friendly and attentive staff, they are just wonderful people to talk to. Although we live just outside of Raleigh, we make it a point to stop in any time we head out to the western part of the state.

We visit the winery often and enjoy the wine and the low key atmosphere. It is close to our home and we are case club members so we enjoy our complimentary glasses of wine. We are welcomed and greeted by the owners which makes us feel like we are at home there.

Wonderful place to visit, especially during the summer. Very attractive setting, wonderful staff and neighbors, and good music and parties on occasion. Not a particular fan of red wines, but they have some decent ones. Definitely worth paying a visit.

Love Weathervane Winery. They have a wide selection of wines and all are excellent. Prices are very reasonable, friendly knowledgeable staff. Lots of fun events hosted at the winery. Ive been a member for just over a year and have thoroughly enjoyed it.
