Whatever you do, DO NOT host a party here (or probably at any County Park). If you want to bring in ANY entertainment from a DJ, to catering, a magician, blow ups, etc...you are required to use one vendor only. The County parks are all "in bed with" the Dover Group who provides kickbacks for every service you pay for. If you have ever thrown a kids party, you know its pretty inexpensive to get magicians, face painters, balloonists for 2-4 hours. With Dover Group, the prices are inflated 2-3 times. It is $375 for an hour w/ a magician. A Face painter is $295 for an hour. Blow ups are there for 4 hrs and start at $595 and go up over $1000. You cannot bring ANY outside entertainment in, so you are stuck paying inflated prices. Nassau County goes to bid on these things with companies and usually picks the company that will kick the most back to the county so.... spare yourself the price gauging. And forget the cost to cater, your better off cooking on the grills provided or cooking at home and lugging it in. As if it wasnt bad enough that you spend $1500 on 1 face painter, 1 magician and the cheapest bouncy house you can find.....if Dover Group messes up your reservation and puts the wrong date on your contract, you are out of luck! Your party has a disaster start when people show up and the kids you invited have no entertainment, so they leave early. If you are lucky, the onsite staff might search for entertainment in the park and send them over to your party when they become free. But dont worry, Dover Group will NOT refund you a single thing because "you signed the contract" and they "accommodated you". Maybe these were all just hard learning lessons for me, but I could have thrown the same party in my yard for 1/4 of the cost, stress and tears that I spent on the party i recently did at Eisenhower. Lesson Learned.

I used to go to Eisenhower Park fairly often when I lived in the area. Its such a huge place with so much to offer, so it was the perfect place to go to be active. Jogging, swimming, golf, baseball, basketball, soccer, and tennis are just a handful of the activities you can partake in. The fitness trail is a nice attraction, and I used to meet a couple of my clients there for our workout sessions. From pull-up bars to sit-up benches, there were plenty of options to chose from to keep the workouts interesting. There are a few different kid-friendly areas as well that have bars, bridges, and slides for the little ones to explore. I never played golf on the course there, but Ive been to the driving range and miniature golf course loads of times. Theres nothing really mind blowing about the driving range, but the mini golf course is scenic and challenging. I havent checked out the batting cages yet, but theyre at the top of my list the next time I go there. There are also plenty of picnic tables to sit at and enjoy some lunch. I used to set my laptop up to do some work there on nice days, and the change of scenery was inspiring. Ive also seen large gatherings taking place in these areas for BBQ events. This is a great place to visit, both for activity and for leisure. Improvements are continually being made to make the experience even more enjoyable. Its a bit out of the way for me to get there these days, but Im certainly looking forward to my next visit, whenever that may be.

One of the nicest parks located in Nassau county. The best part could arguably be the Harry Chapin Lakeside theater. The outdoor concerts are amazing here. A huge open field right in front of the the outdoor venue. There are some major artists headlining here such as Joan Jett, Taylor Dayne, KC & the Sunshine band and Tony Orlando, to name a few. Most concerts are free. The surrounding lake offers a nice trail walk and the benches provided offer relaxation along the way. Golfers will also enjoy the course near field 6. Groups can enjoy barbecues in select areas of the park; a permit is usually required through the park department office. So many things to do here. Nature walks, a mini driving course for kids, outdoor concerts (afternoon and evening). There is even an aquatic center where you can swim. A pass must be purchased. Nassau county residents are entitled to a discount. Eisenhower park is a great place for fun and enjoyment. Leisure walks, frisbee playing, barbecues and entertainment is abundant here. Around the 4th of July, Eisenhower park sometimes has a fireworks display (weather permitting). Its also clean and plenty of fresh air. A good place for leisure activities and taking in the nature scene.

I Have a small dog and there is two sides of the park. With10 foot fences, small and large dogs do not mix unless owners feel comfortable. I liked the large area for the large dogs but the area for the small dogs was all dirt and mud. there seems to be no grass for the little ones and I also noticed that many people are not picking up after there pets so it is starting to smell.. there is a water supply for the pets BUT. it was not functioning when I was there. over all OK for large dogs and not to good for small.

Eisenhower park has always been one of my favorite places to go visit since I was little; growing up on the island. The park has a massive amount of space to do whatever, like have a barbecue with friends/family, play soccer/practice, or even going for a simple jog. The park has pretty much stayed the same since I have been young, which I am glad to be saying. I hope Eisenhower park stays the way it is for more years to come, simply a great scenic destination to bring anyone to.

Being from the local community, this park is sadly not the pretty place it used to be. The last time I tried to spend some time here I was stuck between two large parties blaring loud music at each other almost trying to out-play each other. The park itself is a great spot but the crowd has run it down so bad. There is litter everywhere, poorly maintained and over crowded. That said its still a great spot for celebrations.

The most beautiful park. Plenty to do, from ice skating, trapeze, exercise trails, swimming, batting cages, mini golf, driving range, 18 hole golf course, skating/skateboard ring, handball, tennis, basketball, soccer fields,baseball fields, bocce, shuffle board, sprinkler ring, plenty of play places, and so much more! Keep up to date on their site for free festivals, movies on the lawn by the lake, and concerts.

Today I PFC Ngo Mt was here to help spread awareness about the Young Marines and to see the helicopter landings. Last year at Eisenhower Park the unit that I am in, The Young Marines of Long Island where here at field 6 to clean up the trash on the field to make sure that the debris when the helicopters fly in wont come flying at civilians. I am proud to bear the name, Young Marine of Long Island.
