My husband and I have been coming here together since I was in high school. When we first got married we were not able to have a wedding because he was deployed to Afghanistan. Now, four years later he brought me here to surprise me by re- proposing with a second ring and telling me we can finally plan my dream wedding! I couldnt think of a more beautiful setting to share such a special moment!!

My favorite place to go on LI. My friends and I would spend countless hours exploring this park. There are so many trails which are off the beaten path, and you dont usually come across too many people. I recommend the streams for meditation. Also, a hidden pond if you take the right trail. Please never change, Welwyn!

Beautiful grounds and fun trails. There are a couple of abandoned structures that are picturesque and great to explore, including an old greenhouse. Theres a short hike to the beach where you can sit by the water or fish off the jetty. Definitely recommend, especially if photography is a hobby of yours.

Its super fun to walk down to the beach. Theres a jetty you can walk out on. Towards the main building there are some abandoned buildings. Its a cool place if youre looking to explore.
