Finally, balanced wines with Alsatian heritage after miles of over-oaked water that claimed to be wine. The Hudson has much to learn, but at least Brimstones Richard Eldridge uses a light touch to let what fruit and character the grapes have to speak alone. The site, like the maker, remains honest, avoiding performance or pretense. Prices and values are better than anywhere along the hudson.

Im not big on whites, but their chardonnay was amazing. Bought three cases. Off the beaten path and a lot less traveled than the bigger wineries. Makes it much more intimate

Small, rustic, home style tasting area with a decent selection of wines. Great to stop in do a tasting, purchase a bottle and go.
