For the guy who says park is not cleaned regularly, actually it is but the pigs that come in the late afternoon, evenings and nights dirty it as fast as possible. Try to patrol the park and keep ungrateful slobs from messing it up. Park workers cant be everywhere at all times cleaning up after childish morons who do not appreciate how hard park employees work to make things decent. Call 311 to report littering and quit worrying about the stupid spray showers. By the way, no one is supposed to bring dogs into the park, the rule signs say this. It is only a courtesy that rules are being broken for you because of your self-entitlement. I could go on about the nasty park goers that come here with nothing else to do, but you get my drift. Thats why this place gets one star.

This park offers 2 sectioned playgrounds for the different age groups, a small amount of swings, a water/sprinkler section, basketball court, handball courts and a huge hardtop area for tennis and other activities. Every Sunday the farmers market sets up along the blocked off section of 78th Street and part of the sidewalk along 34th Ave and really brings the community together. There are a few downsides such as the pushcarts full of snacks that people wheel around to try to sell and it gets really over crowded at times.

This is a nice park directly across a permanently closed off street from Garden School. Theres a large volleyball / basketball court, two lower racketball courts, and two playgrounds -- one for toddlers and one for big kids. Theres also water sprinklers and showers for kids to cool off in during the summer. Garden School recently sold off some adjacent paved property to the city which will at some point be developed into more add-on public park area. Ive seen city surveyors on site, but thats it so far (early 2016).

I was pleasantly surprised by this park. Nice division between small toddler areas and bigger kid areas. No grass for blankets and babies. Water spray feature is new and spacious. And theres a year round farmers market on Sundays. Market hours: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (winter hours 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.). I cant speak to the gang activity some of the other reviewers have mentioned, but as far as an afternoon playground visit on any given Sunday, seemed fine to me.

This is what we used to call 78th street park. Hand ball courts and a large softball field. Basketball. It was the hang out for the kids from IS 145. In the early 90s it was renovated. Gangs did operate out of here and probably still do. Doc marten skins (multiracial) I remember. When it gets dark go home.

Not saying it for the park itself because I never been playing or any activity but The Market on Sundays wow speechless if you ever around there on Sunday go a visit the marker is great especially Phillies Farms is the best place in the market great and colorful with fruits and vegetables.

Overcrowded; too many children in playground area, in some cases, unsupervised, therefore children hitting and bullying other children! This park has changed for the worse. I am not bringing back my 2 year old daughter to this park ever again!

The people who come here vary a lot. But in general, theyre all very nice people. Youll hardly ever end up alone if you decide to play a sport. Over here, you can play basketball, ping pong by hand, volleyball, tennis, chess and so much more.

Safe,quiet, multi cultural. Plenty of sun spots and plenty of shades too.. 7-11,Subways sandwiches right around the corner. Love that they closed a street for kids to ride bikes. On Sunday they have a farmer market so more food to munch on

Great space for toddlers, teens, adults, for the whole family. Specifically on Sundays they have farms that come to sell fresh fruits, vegetables, and even milk also tamales and more. best park in the area.

To be honest, Everything is great in the morning and after noon. When the sun goes down, that park is kind you have to look behind you when you walk cause of the gang related activity. (Slowly dying down)

Great playground. There are no grassy areas though and the basketball courts are next to the kiddie playground and there is people smoking there regularly. Enjoy the sprinklers in the summer time.

Always great things going on at this park. Loads of space for the kids to run around. Handball, basketball courts. Slides, swings jungle gyms. Kids are guaranteed to have a good time.
