Went here for a wedding last December. The parking is so far from the entrance you really need to drop all your stuff at the front and either use valet or drive over to the lot and be prepared to walk a quarter mile back to the entrance. The lobby area is nice and inviting with the restaurant areas to the left and right of with so nice furniture up the middle toward.the front desk. The rooms were not cheap and I felt my room was small. The bathroom was also in rough shape with missing tile and cracked everywhere. The view out of my room was just the side of the buildings. I would definitely upgrade to the bigger suites as they are huge compared to the normal room but the price is also much more. The staff was nice but my biggest issue was during dinner service at the wedding. I was served a plate of salad and started eating while talking to people at my table when I looked down I saw a white flat piece of something on my plate. I picked it up and it was a piece of porcelain. I inspected my plate and sure enough the plate was chipped. The piece that I picked up was that chip. It was the size of a finger nail. I immediately notified the waitress and she was freaked out. She said she was sorry and offered to bring me another salad. I told her I wasnt interested. She came back five minutes later and explained to me that I needed to speak with security. I talked with a man who didnt look like security and told him exactly what happened and he wrote down my information. That is all that happened. I didnt get an apology. I didnt get any compensation for eating a salad with porcelain fragments in it. I told the bride and groom, my wifes brother, and they were shocked that I was treated like that. Needless to say I will not be returning and I hope they get their act together.

This was our first and LAST time visiting the Seaview Resort. Let me begin by saying, this is not the type of hotel we usually reserve when vacationing or going away. A friend was celebrating his birthday and his wife chose a location convenient to Atlantic City and Cape May. Nonetheless, it was possibly the worst stay we have encountered in any resort/hotel. The hotel is outdated, needs extensive renovations, and could potentially be hazardous if you are not astute. To begin with, we reserved a king size standard room and were appointed one on the 4th floor. As soon as we entered the room, the first thing we notice is mold on the ceiling near the air vent (horrifying). Needless to say, we asked to be switched to another room. We were then switched to a double room that was not much better (no other King rooms available for the night). The towel shelves in the restroom were completely rusted and the rust transferred to the bath towels provided (again, completely disgusting). After doing some research, it does not take a rocket scientist to realize the reason Marriott sold this hotel after owning it for a short period of time. Completely awful!

My wife and I traveled to Seaview on Valentines Day 2010. It is a picturesque resort that needs some significant room upgrades. It was probably one of the best places in the northeast in 1950, but 60 years later, it equates more to a 3-star hotel. My wife and I described it to friends as a typical "Days or Comfort Inn" room with 5-star surroundings. The beds were old, hard and uncomfortable. We both wound up sleeping without pillows. The bathroom fixtures were bottom-shelf Home Depot specials. The soap & shampoo came out of dispensers hanging in the shower - not great for washing your hands/face at the sink! The TV was a nice LCD 42" screen with fuzzy hard to see signal. On the upside, the heat & AC were amazing - changed room temps in minutes. We had a fabulous breakfast on-site and met some great people, but the Valet parking staff was in your face from the start and yet when we called for directions from Atlantic City the front desk said, "You dont have GPS?" Were not complainers and we did have a nice stay, but it wasnt a 4 or 5 star hotel in 2010 - not even close.

I recently stayed at the Seaview for a two day wedding celebration and had a great time. The food was very good and the wedding was handled professioanlly. The hotel staff was very friendly and courteous. The only thing that marred my visit was I missed placed my prescription sunglasses while checking out. I called the hotel after I arrived home and was directed to the Housekeeping Supervisor, Dawn R. Budesa-Taylor. She took my information in case the sunglasses were turned in. After a week I gave up hope of having them found but to my surprise Dawn called me and told me they had in fact turned up. I was impressed that she had kept my contact information and took the time to pursue returning my glasses to me. I would like to commend her on her dedication to her job and thank the Seaview for retaining employees of her caliber. I will defintely stay at the Seaview whenever I can.

The service was courteous. However the place is in great need of renovations (which to be fair are underway) because of structural issues (it was a windy night and it sounded I like the windows were going to be blown into my room I and outdated and worn/faded decor I had to move from the room i was initially aassigned to because of a loud banging noise that would occur every 20 min and make it impossible to sleep. I was moved to another smaller room with fewer amenities and I did not receive any compensation for my ruined nights sleep or the downgrade in room quality. I chose the Seaview over all of the (less expensive) hotels in the area because I believed it would be luxurious and comfortable. I honestly had a better nights sleep in a $40/night hotel room in Bellmawr.

Let me start off by saying I have stayed here in the past and never had any issues before this past weekend. That said I stayed here for a wedding over the weekend and found the staff to be very unresponsive and unwililng to work with our group to make things go smoothly. Booked the room under a wedding block rate and was not given the rate quoted. After bringing it to their attention I was told "there was nothing they could do" Thought I would get much better customer service at a luxury hotel. Even a "sorry" would have been nicer than what I got. Hotel was nice but dated. Point being for the price I paid there are much newer/nicer ammenities around the Atlantic City area that will at least attempt to deliver top of the line customer service.

My family and I had a weeks stay at this resort recently and due to the age it seems some of the amenities were possibly outdated. We did not have a mini fridge in our room (which was somewhat expected at this price range) but most frustrating was the constant run to front desk (from our 3rd floor room) to reprogram all 3 key cards several times a day, and a couple times at night. The gentleman Michael at front desk has excellent customer service skills and quickly diffused the situation by offering us a complimentary breakfast in their restaurant which was greatly appreciated, a very professional employee, definitely an asset to their team. We would like to express our gratitude, he is the reason the resort is receiving a 5* review. Thank you.
