I had high hopes for Hidden Valley RV and Golf course until we actually arrived. We have a 32 travel trailer and it can be tight in many spots. Knowing this, the staff reserved a spot for us when we called knowing we couldnt fit into most of their spots. Upon arrival we find out that they gave our spot away ( a blessing in disguise) and moved us to the rear of the park. Our new site was backed up to a maintenance path used by golfers and staff but non the less it wasnt a bad spot. Very hard to back into being a tree was on the back in drivers side but once in, it was fine. Now lets talk about the RV Park. Id say 90% seasonal RVers. They pretty much let the people do what they want with the sites. Patios made of cinder blocks. Overgrown grass and trailers that havent been moved in decades. There was a mini tennis court with a broken gate and a net about to fall off. One playground at the entrance of the park and thats about it. Now knowing the lack of amenities, we thought what would be the big deal with inviting our family to our camper being they never saw it. Well once we asked the front desk if it would be a problem having them over they said they would need to charge $6 per person and $9 if they stay past 9pm. When asked what amenities are they paying for besides visiting us, no pool, no activities, nothing, they said thats policy. I understand, but when you have nothing you would hope people would want to spend time there. Now for the golf course. We called and asked for a tee time Saturday morning. They told us that there was a tournament going but they can fit us in between parties at 9:40am. When my father-in-law arrived, the man at the office said the scheduling person was nuts to schedule us being there were so many people on the course. After feeling bad about turning us away they tried to put us in real fast but it would have been a disaster mixed in with them. Another example of their poor planning. So to wrap it up, if your a transient RVer like us with kids and would like a clean, organized, RV park with amenities, and friendly staff, this is not your place. If your cool with being mixed in with seasonals that look like they permanently moved in, give it a shot. For us, we will never return.

Youll know why its called hidden valley - tucked well off the beaten path, this quaint course offers more of a challenge than first expected. If your accuracy is off, be prepared to have a rough day and bring some extra balls because on many holes, the woods is so thick, youre not getting your shot back. Also, power hitters (260+ drives) will not be useful on this course. Many holes are short, but dogleg, meaning youll find that oftentimes you can get into trouble for hitting TOO far. A bit lacking in the amenities dept., the pro shop is a converted storage barn and the snack shop offers a few options, but nothing fancy. Yet, theres water and facilities on the course, so theyve at least got the basics. Overall, a hilly course. If you walk, youre going to get a workout. The walk to #10 alone has to be 1/2 mile. So, at least splurge for a pull car while youre there. If youre not a handicap 20 or lower, I recommend the shorter 9 hole course. Still offers a challenge, but nothing too long and you wont be burning through your golf ball supply so quickly and its even cheaper than the regulation course. Compared to most courses in Southern New Hampshire, prices are pretty darn good. Itll give you an afternoon of fun without breaking your wallet too badly. One complaint: because of the campgrounds, oftentimes you have random people who suddenly appear in front of you while playing. Seems that the campers like to get a few holes in from time to time, which can be frustrating if theyre not courteous enough to let you play through. Overall, dont let the outside appearance fool you. The course if a good deal and should offer even lower handicappers a good challenge.

BEWARE of this Campground if youre planning on being a seasonal resident. My husband and I just sold our camper that we bought there two years ago. Cathy, the owner is VERY unpleasant to deal with. We paid our fees up to date and when the new owner of the camper went to pay his he was told that he owed $500.00 because we didnt pay!! On the day we paid CASH, the new owner was standing right there and saw us pay. He was told he could not leave with the camper until the fees were paid. Cathy was nasty with my husband on the phone when he called and said we DID pay and that we have a receipt to prove it. Of course, she never bothered to call us back and let us know we were all set. The new owner of our camper is THANKFUL he pulled it out of that campground and stated she was a real B*T%$ to him. Just a heads up to those considering this place....dont bother and if you do make sure you get a receipt for EVERYTHING because they will try and rip you off!

We took our new camper there to "shake it down" and figure out how everything worked. The side of the park we were on was primarily seasonal folks, but we got a spot with a great view, and the staff were incredibly helpful (let us borrow an extension cord and answered a few questions about the operation of our camper) and very friendly. Our neighbors were great, everybody was very friendly, waving, etc. What we saw of the golf course looked great (we dont golf, but still), and the beach was very spacious. Oh, and the food from the little restaurant wasnt half bad either!

Ive Been going here for about 8 years and its fantastic. If your an indoors person then I wouldnt recommend this place. But, if your looking for nature, this is the place. The sites and the RVs are not amazing but they are ok. the rest is beautiful. They have 2 great ponds where you can fish and one where you can swim. One of them is practically a beach! I havent used the golf course very much but its pretty good for what Ive seen. The people are nice but some of the staff are very strict. I love it here and definitely recommend it. Its great for kids
