We found this spot after a friend had heard out it and it was a phenomenal place to go hang out with our little guys. Located on the second floor of a relatively non-descript building, there lies a great place for your little guys/gals to check out some sweet train sets and play with a bunch of train toys that they may already have at home, but that seem more exciting because theyre somewhere else! Upon entering, youre greeted by a very nice chap who points out the goings on in the, main room. Entry is $8 for adults and free for 3 and under, which currently works well for us. The train they have set up is rather impressive and takes up about 80% of the large room you enter into. Just after entering, they have three Thomas the train tables set up with more cars to play with than you can shake a stick at! There are plenty of Thomas sets for sale as well in case you dont have enough at home! After looking around in the main room youre directed to a large building across street that houses another 8 tracks and 3 more Thomas sets. A number of these sets are interactive and while theyre primarily just making the trains go faster and slower, its a nice change for the kiddos. The sets are pretty comprehensive and while I dont know much about model trains, the dudes here do and are excited about sharing their enthusiasm. Worth checking out for train enthusiasts young and old!

This place is very cool. I have been a fan of Model trains since I was young and was looking forward to going here. I didnt know some of the sets were going to be interactive. With that being said, some of the interactive buttons didnt work. Thats the reason I gave it a four out of five stars. I would STILL recommend this place for anyone who wants a fun afternoon with their kids. My kids loved it. The staff there is great. Very Friendly and love to talk trains. I got more information than I thought I would. Definitely going to return!!

We brought our 20 month old son. We weren't sure how he'd like it, but he loved it. They have 3 tables of Thomas for the kids to play with, plus a perch for the little ones to stand on to see the models better. The toy train division was good too. He liked running the toys. Would be great for all ages.

Not quite what I expected, but it was very fun for my two year old. A lot of interactive play, buttons to push, train tables... Other kids are having fun too... They just happen to be setting stuff up while we are here, so not the best upfront presentation

This is a pic from the previous location (Bandana Square). I took my 4 year old nephew here back in 2010 and he loved it so much. Its a great place for kids and get them out of the house playing video games.

As of this writing, theyre still getting set up. Still, the trains and displays are almost endlessly interesting to look at, especially for kids. Model Railroad fans will find it delightful.

My 3 year old son loves this place. They let the kids interact with the trains and exhibits quite a bit. The train tables set up in the back is his favorite place to hang out.

Many model train displays. The only knack I can say is some displays are under construction or buttons dont work. However staff is friendly and displays are beautifully done.

Museum was nice and interesting but much smaller than I expected for some reason. Would be a great place to bring kids as they have multiple hands on exhibits as well.

Went in just because we were in the same building. Needs some TLC. Must have been nice at one time. I think for a model train builder the massive size is still nice.

I like going on Mondays when most other places are closed. Lots for all ages to see and do. Find the new larger space much better, parking easier and easy access.

Fantastic model RR. Best model of the famous Stone Arch bridge ever! Always staffed by knowledgeable people willing to give individual attention. Highly recommend

I like the new space, it is very open. All in one place. The kids loved that they could control some of the trains. Great place to visit.

They have a really nice O scale model railroad of the twin cities. Plus they have other scales and trains for kids to run.
