Our family worked with Christine and the Medina Ballrooms events staff to pull off a cancer benefit for my father-in-law on short notice and the event was incredible. Christine was professional yet thoughtful of our family’s needs thought the whole process. She helped us create a menu within our budget, a floor plan for the food tables and silent auctions and even offered us some ideas to help raise some money through beer sales. Christina offered up many great ideas that were customized to our event and she went way above our expectations getting every detail right. The room was immaculate and her staff never missed a beat even when our party for 400 turned into a party of over 750 when 350 people decided to join us for the silent auctions the day of the event. Our family was overwhelmed by the massive turnout for the event but the Medina staff took it in stride and rose to the challenge. Our family didn’t get an opportunity to eat dinner with our guests but Medina staff surprised us all with a warm meal after we had finally closed our event hours after the food service was completed. This kind of compassion and professionalism cannot be purchased and will never be forgotten. Overall we had a wonderful experience from start to finish! Our family has received a lot of feedback from our guests about how wonderful the venue was and how the food was the best they have ever had from a buffet. Thank you to Christine and the Medina Ballrooms events staff who helped create a one a lifetime experience for our entire family!!

I took my three daughters to Roberts Restaurant Saturday for lunch. It was 12:30 pm. Our service was not good and the quality of food was nothing special. We had a hard time flagging our waitress down when we needed to order or needed a drink. It was not busy at all. She forgot the lime in my first beverage so when she brought the second with out, and she disappeared, I decided to go up to the bar myself to get a lime slice. The two bartenders saw me standing at the opposite end of the bar, but proceeded to serve and clear a table in the bar/dining area. They twice looked at me and walked the other way. Finally I sat down realizing they had no intention on waiting on me. I saw one go behind the bar and went back up, he came over to me and rudely asked me what I needed. I said I would like a lime slice. So.. after he had cleared dirty dishes, he reaches in the container of limes and picks a slice up and hands it to me. Not only did he use dirty hands, but didnt set it on a napkin for me. Then they served three of us our meals and said the cobb salad will be coming right up. We almost completed our meal before the fourth meal came. It was pretty obvious they forgot to make her meal. There was no compensation offered for the delay in service. We asked the waitress to ask the manager if they would consider a discount. She did come back stating they will not charge us for that meal. Appreciate it, as it is always uncomfortable when you are eating and one has no meal. Overall, not a pleasant lunch experience.

Medina Ballrooms special events staff is fantastic! I worked with Christine to arrange a Sadie Hawkins Casino Night party for our 10th grade end of school event and she was wonderful! Christine was clear and responsive, had a floor plan for the food tables, photo booth, DJ and dance floor immediately drawn up so I could picture where everything would be before the vendors arrived. She followed up with a menu and made it easy to decide what would best fit our event. The room was immaculate as they just remodeled it and just the right size for our party. Christine worked a long day the date of our event but stayed late to greet us and make sure the vendors knew where to be before I arrived. This night could not have gone smoother for either the teens or the chaperones involved in the party. The Manager on duty was also great and responsive when we needed lighting adjusted on the dance floor. Overall a wonderful experience! The price was very reasonable and it was a joy to do business with them. I researched other vendors before choosing Medina and both price and ease of arranging our party led me to choose them again. I would highly recommend working with Christine for any of your event party planning needs at Medina Ballroom. This is our second event at Medina this year and will not be our last! :)

I took my wife to the Medina Entertainment Center to see Bret Michaels in concert... While we were there, some drunk a-hole assaulted my wife (grabbed her from around the neck, choking her, then when i pulled him off of her, she fell to the ground and he kicked her in the face). I dont blame the folks at Medina for that, but what i DO blame them for was their lack of response. No reports filed, not real interest in finding the guy that did it, nothing... They didnt even take down her name and phone number. NOTHING. I could at least see their disinterest if my wife was drunk, belligerant, etc., but were not talking about some partying barfly, wer talking about a 40 year old mother of four, out on her anniversary to see a show... She didnt say ONE WORD to this guy before he attacked her, not a single word. She couldnt even point him out as she never saw his face (he was behind her). After the incident, i asked to speak to someone in charge, someone other than a security guard, and was refused. They said nobody was available at the time (really? a woman is brutally assaulted in your establishment, and NOBODY is available to help other than a 60 year old security guard? Not only that, but you dont even take her name down or write an incident report about it? NOTHING?... WTF?)...

We had our sons grooms dinner at Medina Entertainment Center last Friday and it was wonderful! All the arrangements were done by phone and email since we live 160 miles from Medina. The decorations and the food were the best. Some of my sons friends commented that it was the nicest grooms dinner they have ever attended. (They are a group that attends many weddings) We had a buffet dinner with 2 entrees, potatoes, salads, dinner rolls, cookies and coffee. We had champagne prior to the dinner and they had people there to pour the champagne for us. The whole night was wonderful and Medina Entertainment Center helped make it that way! Thank you to Missy and all the others who helped us make the evening special!!

This review is based on multiple dining experiences at Roberts. The staff is awful. It doesnt matter if their busy or if youre the only ones in the joint. Waitresses take way too long. You have to wait for everything, drinks, food, menu, refill, napkins whatever. Oh and for Christ sake whats the deal with coffee? Getting a refill on coffee is like pulling teeth. Just bring a pot to the table. The owners must want to be a below par dump or theyd have the bar and resturaunt managers do a better job watching staff. Too many friends of friends of friends work there.
