Lakeshore hopheads are lining up to bend an elbow at Pigeon Hill Brewing Company (500 W Western Ave), which opened in downtown Muskegon. Named after a massive sand dune, the popular tourist attraction fell victim to industrial manufacturing. Just like Muskegon. Owners Joel Kamp (who handles accounting), Chad Doane (head brewer) and Michael Brower (lawyer and marketing) recreated the golden age of Muskegon in their charmingly designed taproom. Tippler will enjoy sunny windows, wood accents and varnished knick-knacks. They even display objects from the historic Muskegon Brewing Company donated by Cole’s Quality Foods. You won’t find any novelty flavors at Pigeon Hill. They simply craft beers that honors the style but stands out from the crowd. Crowd favorites include Walter Blonde Ale, Shifting Sands IPA, Renegade White Double IPA, Motorboatin Wheat and LMFAO (Let Me Fetch An Oatmeal) Stout. The one exception is the Oatmeal Cream Pie that you can have for only three SKEE bucks.

Awesomeness. Pure awesome. Great brew and pizza and hard liquor across the hall. Clean, great atmosphere and the live music is always rocking. Beer is a little pricy but you cant put a $$$ on the quality, plus youre supporting a local muskegon treasure! When the wife and I ger a night away from our kiddos we stop here first. OCP and SCP are the best stout in the land!

There is a big selection of beer brewed by Pigeon Hill. You have the option of getting your beer with nitro or CO2. Can be very loud and hard to talk with your table mates. You can check out games and play them at your table which I found unique. No cocktails are available here, but you can go across the hall and order pizza from Topshelf!

Opening night! Its packed, and the beer is amazing! Tried four of the beers currently on tap (Showtunes Saison, Petit Soleil Saison, Walter Blonde Ale and Bohemian Pils) and they were all tasty. Atmosphere is great, love the local history that is celebrated in the decor! Cant wait to watch you grow!

Craft beer is booming in Michigan but Pigeon Hill has hit the mark with solid, consistent, great tasting brews. The Muskegon tap room has a nice, relaxing vibe and the open air option is a great addition for summer/fall. Keep up the good work...love LMFAO stout and Walter Blonde Ale.
