Very simple on the inside, not was I was expecting but I liked the old photos of downtown New Albany on the inside. The menu is what Id expect of an Italian style place. I got the tortellini pasta and he got the lasagna. Mine was awesome! He wished for a little more sauce but was super happy with the lasagna regardless. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because of the poor service we received from our server Peyton. She took out order and brought our food in a timely manner but didnt check in or give drink refills until we each had one bite left of our food. During this time, I made eye contact with her twice and tried to motion her over but she was engaged in conversation with another server (possibly who she was training). Finally, when she brought the ticket, I took my debit card out right away and instead of waiting for me to put it in the booklet, said to take my time and didnt collect it for another 8 or so minutes. Overall, I loved the food and that is why Im giving 4 stars. Next time, Ill ask for a different server and hopefully update the review!

We drove 156 miles just to buy some more of The Colonels Legacy that we had came across at the Vintage Indiana wine fest. The "winery" was much more than we expected. I thought we were at the wrong address. The place is amazing. The atmosphere is very cool especially after the live acoustic music started. We only snacked on cheese while sipping on the Colonel and sampling a few others so I cannot speak to the quality of the food though everything looked good and smelled very good. We had a very good waiter and the place was jumping! We very much enjoyed our evening there and cannot wait to go back. Well have to ration the 4 bottles we brought home.

To complement their great wines, River City Winery has a new chef with exciting ideas. Pizza is the main item on the menu, but pastas, salads and soups are being added. The Spinach, Pear, Blue Cheese, Caramelized Onion, Bacon pizza is an excellent combination of flavors. It might become your favorite pizza! Try the Carrot Ginger soup, too. Serving sizes are generous and prices are reasonable. The restoration/remodel has created a very nice interior with a long wine bar, high seating, and table seating. They have live music some weekends. This is a bright spot in New Albanys developing downtown.

We ordered the meat and cheese plate which was described on the menu as such. It also stated on the menu that it included nuts and chocolate on the plate. It arrived to our table without the nuts and chocolate. We brought this up with the waiter and he was unsure if it still included stating its a new menu he was getting use to. Service was horrible. Never refilled my water the whole time I was there. They didnt offer a refund. The shrimp and grits were average at best. Youre better off to go to Habana Blues tapas bar across the street and have a much more enjoyable experience!

We go to this winery a lot. Was so disappointed yesterday when there We had to flag our server down repeatedly to get our tasting. Yes he was busy at first but he should have kept checking back not us ask him for our next wine We ordered a case of wine n got 2 wines we didnt order n didnt get 2 we wanted. This was after trying several times to get him to go over it. He kept going over his notes but never took the wine out to ck it While we will come back I wont let this server wait on us agin an hope this wont be a trend.

We are back. Stopped in last night for the first time for a tasting. Had David as our server/ wine expert. He has a wonderful personality, very customer friendly. Had to come back tonight to enjoy another bottle of wine and try the pizza. Also knew that David would be working again. We had another very good evening with David and just met his side kick Greg. 2 very good guys that provided excellent service. Only complaint is they should get creme burlee back. Went for Mothers Day. If you are a vegetarian, there is not that much to choose from. I ordered a house salad and it was straight out of a bag. Most of the lettuce was white. I tasted one of my mothers scallops and they were very fishy, which means there was some freshness issues going on with the scallops. Smoke from the pizzas filled the dining room made my clothes stink and eyes irritated. Not much decor, chairs were from either a banquet hall or a nursing home. Prices were outragous.

My wife and I visited this place just for the thrill but we loved it ever since. The Pizza Margherita with extra bacon was a real surprise ! My wife chose Garden Fresh Caesar Salad but didn`t finish it, so I tried it as well - I liked it very much. Another thing anyone should pay attention to is the Award winning wines list especially Neyron Red ! Actually we tasted a little too much of it and had to go home with a cab. We would definitely try the whole Award winning list this year.

Went for GNO #girlsnightout and the atmosphere is great, they were busy as usual. The cheese board is awesome, the pickled red onions are a great addition! The pizza was great! The ceasar salad was good, but it was a bit ridiculous to charge $.50 for more dressing. The service was nothing to write home about. Ill go back, but overall it wasnt as good as I would have hoped.

After being told it was a 45 minute wait by the hostess for 2 people, a server named Nicky waiter found us a table immediately. He went on to be the most competent and efficient waiter we have ever experienced there. Because of him, a potentially bad experience was turned into a very enjoyable visit to this establishment. He deserves recognition for being on the ball.

Brandon was our host. He was very sweet and knowledgeable about the menu and the wine. We did a wine tasting and he was there with us telling jokes and talking about the wine the whole time. He was very proud of the wine, and very friendly and outgoing! He made our experience at River City Winery spectacular! Thanks Brandon. Give that guy a raise! :)

Great place for pizza and wine. They only serve wine here and the specialty pizzas are the main entre. The pair and blue cheese pizza is a personal favorite. The wine selection is robust considering they only sell their own wine. RCW often has live music during the evening hours. Its a wonderful restaurant for a date or a night out with the friends.

7 1-oz wine tastings! #score Many options to choose from and the % of residual sugar is listed so you know which are sweeter than others! AND THEY HAVE FOOD OPTIONS! Definitely go...many wineries dont have food menus so a "+" from me! 4 starts because theyre lunchtime hour restriction wasnt cool. I really wanted that croissant sandwich! Lol

My wife and I eat/drink here at least 1x/month. Always a great experience. Sit outside on the patio by the big fire pit. Enjoy some of their great wines and food. We always order the Pear / Gorgonzola pizza. Its the best thing they have! Its fantastic. The inside is beautiful and a comfortable setting, the outside is nice too.
