Maciej, the owner and mazer, truly has a gift for blending flavors. He offers a variety of meads that change with the seasons. He doesnt use additives and allows the natural flavors of honey, whisky, cabernet, ginger, pumpkin, grape, coffee, apple, pear, or strawberry to come through. Some of the meads are on tap with either CO2 or nitrogen. Others are bottled. You can purchase bottles or handmade ceramic growlers to fill up from the tap. This is a tasting room and only offers mead. You are welcome to bring in snacks or take-out with you. The regulars are a friendly crowd and enjoy meeting new people.

What can I say? Maciej is awesome and his mead is some of the best I have tasted made in the area, one of the few meaderies we frequent almost weekly. Decided to join the goblet guild at the middle of last year and love meeting more members every time we go. The crowd tends to vary by amount, but its always fun listening to everyones stories about trying mead for their first time, or what they are doing in their lives.

The meadery is in a very unassuming old office building. No real sign to speak of which is a shame as it is adjacent to the highway and could bring in more traffic with good signage. These guys are making an interesting array of meads, and the space inside while small is very cozy with its all wood English bar feel. Prices are just right and its definitely worth the stop if you are a mead lover.

Best meadery ever! If you dont know what mead is, it is the drink of the gods! If you like wine or cider or alcohol in general you will like mead. The mead here is the finest. They have several blends on tap to suit the palates of all. When I first tasted this fine mead it made me feel like slaying a dragon and then celebrating at the roubd table with a turkey leg!

Best meadery in the world. If youre on the Michigan wine trail you NEED to stop here! Very cozy and warm with a great host and yummy meads on bottle, tap, and nitro. If youre lucky enough become part of the mead club and get a one of kind goblet hand made for you. Weve got the growler and cup and enjoy the discounts and private news that comes with it.

Im new to meads and asked the owner to describe a few. He gave me one of those "god, youre so stupid" sighs and said hed do it "since whats on the board obviously isnt enough for you." Jesus, guy. My apologies for bothering you with my money. I definitely wont make that mistake again.

Fantastic place with a very unique atmosphere you cant find anywhere else. I would call this a hidden gem of Grand Rapids thats kept secret among the locals. If you have never had Mead or just want to try something new I highly recommend visiting.

Great, diverse mead, an underrated style, and strong too!! When I went, I was the only person there and spent an hour or two talking to the bartender (who left shortly thereafter to be a brewer at Elk). Great location, great decor, great people.

Great meadery! Very authentic and reminds me what a longhall would resemble. Mead is crisp and smooth and the owner is more than willing to make sure youre satisfied and find a mead that suits your tastes. Cant recommend enough!

This place is amazing. The Dude was super patient and explained everything about each mead several times because there were so many i kept mixing them up. Byop - bring your own pretzles. This is amazing.

Went to the grand opening. The establishment has a throwback atmosphere of an old Vikings pub. Enjoyed several excellent flavors of mead, the atmosphere and the people. Definitely want to go back.
