I appreciate the outstanding customer service the staff provided for me in coordinating my niece’s wedding. Upon arriving, it was evident why Smith-Berry Winery was chosen as the venue; the grounds are absolutely beautiful and the staff was great. Melissa was tremendous! I was unfamiliar with services and spaces at Smith-Berry Winery. Looking at maps and internet photos was convenient, but did not help me visualize the space for schedule purposes. Her efforts to time the walks, send me specific photos, and answer my questions went a long way in helping me coordinate the wedding. Chuck was instrumental in making sure the wedding ran smoothly. I especially appreciated his flexibility in helping us move the wedding ceremony to the reception barn due to weather issues. On the wedding day, my entire family and many guests visited the Wine Tasting Room and left with many varieties of exceptional wines. In all my years as a wedding planner and coordinator, it has been rarity to see such dedication to customer service. The staff at Smith-Berry Winery is truly exemplary examples of excellence in customer service.

The only winery Ive seen that serves made from scratch food (created on the premises) as part of their summer entertainment events. Aside from the obvious wine selection, theres also sangria and beer. Various local and regional bands provide music about every 2 weeks on Saturdays starting Memorial Day weekend. I stopped here on a date with my wife and had a nice time. My wife had such a good time she even let me buy a cigar that was made in Kentucky! I am a good winery critic because I manage River Bend Winery in Downtown Louisville, and if you are making a day of winery stops make Smith-Berry Winery and River Bend Winery stops on the way.

The grounds are lovely. The wine is very tasty. Burley the pup is a big love bug. The chick behind the counter was rushing everyone and told them she wanted to leave early. Who does that?! She also had the personality of a straw bale. Made the visit not worth the drive off the highway!!

Great place to visit for a wine tasting, visit to the country. (The wine is some of Kentuckys best as well) The dinners and concerts they have are a great value as well. Kentucky Proud cooking!

My sister and I found this winery while traveling. It was a Fabulous find! It is family owned and operated and everyone we met was very helpful and kind. I absolutely love their flat rock red.
