My husband and I visited Bel Lago Vineyards this past weekend. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, and he was very nice, but we were not impressed with the bartender with which we spoke. The wines were not our favorite, but that is, of course, our own subjective opinion. We think they could do a bit more with their wine tasting room; it seemed a bit bare and unwelcoming. I think this winery has a lot of potential, but they need to make sure their staff and wine tasting room are up to par.

Great views from the winery, but the wines are the real appeal. On our winery tour of the Leelenau Peninsula, this was our favorite. The whites were the real strong point, but though the wines were good, our favorite part was interacting with the vintner. He shared some knowledge about wine and gave use tastes of some of the wine currently not ready for bottling to compare with the ones that were bottles. Great experience.

My husband & I were there yesterday 8/5/17 fir a glass of my fav wine(Pinot Grigio/Chardonnay) & to my surprise I revd approx 2-3 oz with a price of $7.42(with tax), I guess Ill continue to buy a bottle at Meijer for $10.99. The wine is still my favorite but the winery is not & I will not return.

This is one of my favorite wineries in the area! Its a little off the beaten wine trail, but its worth the drive out! Their tasting is free and everyone at the counter is always super friendly and helpful.
