THE STAFF AT THE GEM WERE AWESOME, AND THE MENS BATHROOM ATTENDANT WAS RESPECTFUL, POLITE, AND VERY FRIENDLY, WITH MUCH HOSPITALITY!! THE SPANISH BATHROOM ATTENDANT, "DANNY", AT THE GEM CLUB, ON WEEKEND NIGHTS, DOES A GREAT JOB IN THE MENS BATHROOM AND HE MAINTAINS THE MENS BATHROOM, CLEAN, SMELLING FRESH , AND EVEN PUMPS THE SOAP INTO YOUR HANDS AND RIGHT AFTER HE IS HANDING YOU A FEW TOWELS TO DRY YOUR HANDS WITH!1 HAS GREAT EQUIPMENT, COLOGNE, DEODORANT, HAIR GE L, BODY SPRAY, GUM, MINTS,AND A FEW OTHER ITEMS TO MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD ABOUT WALKING INTO A MENS BATHROOM AT A DANCE CLUB! WHAT A WONDERFUL GUY, THAT DANNY IS! OVERALL, ITS A PLEASURE VISITING THE GEM NIGHT CLUB IN BOSTON,MASS..! GREAT STAFF!!:)

Stopped in this place for the 15 minutes. I wish the location was also on the street level (if there is I walked right by it at least a dozen times). Went in last week around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday - June 12th, 2014, and it was not very busy. The $1 Stella drafts drew me in, and I would probably have ordered food if I had noticed it earlier in the night. The bartenders were very hospitable. Would have liked it to be busier, but I suppose the location is hard to find. Definitely a hidden "gem"... When I get the food - I might update it to a 5-star.

New Years Eve here was a joke. The website promised a coat check, dance floor, champagne toast, favors, etc. We arrived at 10:30 and the coat check was full. There was no dance floor if you didnt buy the VIP tickets, the General Admission area was so packed that you could barely move. The ladies room had two stalls that were so small you could barely shut the door, the bathroom line took about an hour. Drinks were 10 dollars and had no booze in them. So we paid 65 to stand at a bar and wait in a bathroom line. Lame.

Although we were the only four patrons in the dining room, we had a great experience. Our waiter, Jonathan was pleasant, attentive and had a beautiful singing voice as he sang Happy Birthday to our friend. We enjoyed the duck confit quesadilla, homemade potatoe chips with carmelized onion dip ( yum) and a fabulous Burrata. The chicken in Marsala sauce was excellent also. I hope that this place catches on, becuase it really is a Gem albeit somber decor.

cant beat $1 oysters and $5 lobster rolls on wednesday nights here! not exactly sure where the oysters come from. theyre briny, but delicious. the lobster rolls come cold on a warm/toasted roll. theyre pretty generous with the lobster meat, which i was surprised by. the deco is super cute... not sure why its doesnt attract a bigger crowd than it did when i went. wouldnt suggest getting the risotto balls. thought it was too heavy on the truffle oil.

Ive stopped in twice for a drink on business travel. Incredible drink specials for Boston, entertaining bar staff and great dance music but with a bar atmosphere. Havent eaten there but I suspect if you want a 5 stars dining experience this is not the place. The reviews on Google were so down I felt I should weight in. That being said I would come here often if I lived in the area.

Only cheap people go here. Also, the staff is extremely unprofessional. We were told to leave but another party was allowed to stay (only because they were at a "VIP Table" and had paid more money to get into the lounge/ dance area. Not at all worth the money they charge. Look elsewhere.

Very cool brunch spot as well as a late night destination. A saxophone player walks around this place, dancing on peoples tables and on the bar. Its a pretty wild sight to see at 10am on a Sunday, to say the least.

Went there for lunch, food was overpriced and below expectations, the staff didnt know much about their menu, and spend a good time waiting for the food.

Prices are list as $3 for draft beer on the menu but magically become $6 or more when you place your order. Incorrect menu pricing.

Quite possibly the worst and most over-priced restaurant ever. I have a total sweet-tooth and even the dessert I found disgusting.

Pay $20 on a Friday to walk into a bar thats barely populated with a DJ that isnt even there half the time. Not recommended.
