A little known fact about PG County is how amazing their park system is. This park and Watkins Regional Park are beyond great. Last year they completely replaced and upgraded the main playground. There are plans to improve the park over the next two years as well. A new stage, more parking, and a courtyard/fountain where the parking lot in front of the ice skating rink is now. Check out the City of Bowies website for more info on the renovation projects.

Allen Pond is a wonderful outing for the family! Picnic Areas,Recreation & Fitness, Softball and Soccer Fields,a Fishing Pond,Skateboarding Park,Basketball Courts,and a newly upgraded Childrens Play Area! Or maybe just enjoy a quiet walk around the Pond. The Park is wheelchair accessible,not to mention,yes- a Skating Rink! So,come out and bring the family to enjoy a WONDERFUL outing! You wont be disappointed!

We live near the park and often see a wide variety of athletic events as well as community events going on. From baseball, to soccer, to lacrosse, softball, an ice rink and even a skate park it can be a busy place. On Sunday nights in the summer there is a concert series. A good walking path around a large pond plus playgrounds, picnic areas and green space. What more could you ask for?

Love, love, love this park. Theres so much to do -- soccer, basketball, skate park, long walks, gazebo, picnics, grilling, duck feeding, paddle boats, jungle gyms, live concerts... Perhaps whats best is just throwing a blanket on the ground, with picnic basket by your side, book in hand and loved ones by your side. The best things in life really are free :)

I love bringing my sons here. There are 2 playgrounds based on your kids ages. Thats awesome if you dont want your younger child to be playing around older kids. I love walking around the whole pond. Super pretty and always clean. Parking sucks, especially if its beautiful out and the time of day but you have to be patient to find a space.

This is a nice beautiful Park you can have family gatherings there is a ice skating building they have two playgrounds a big huge pond with ducks and goose you can walk around you can exercise you can sit on the bench enjoy the beautiful scenery I believe they have the paddleboats I think it open during spring and summer time I believe

Nicely laid out community park with both reserved and first come first serve picnic areas. Playgrounds are nice. 1 for playschool age and the other is all age and accessible. The pond has paddle boats you can rent on summer weekends and some holidays. Enjoy concerts every Sunday night in the summer also.

Beautiful. Tranquil. Clean & well looked after. Friendly atmosphere. Great playgrounds for kids. Paddle boat rentals on the weekends during summer. A good place to work out, have a picnic, or walk the dog. Free Sunday Summer Concert series is quite enjoyable and well attended.

Its a great park. During summer, they have boat rentals available. The walk around the lake is nice, and its well paved if your kids like to scooter or bike. 2 playgrounds for bigger and smaller kids. Plus the amphitheater which regularly has free music to listen to.

Beautiful and peaceful at certain times of the day. Lots of friendly people also out enjoying the park after work or ar lunch. Nice walking trail around the pond, and an ice rink to learn to ice skate. I bring my dog training clients there for classes often.

Very well kept and clean park. EXCEPT for trash items that end up in the pond and floats along the edges. I wish they would clean that more often. Ive seen the park ranger in the park, did he notify the clean up crew.
