Worst course I have played in a while. Played it around 2 months ago and they had just gotten significant rainfall so I will not solely base judgement due to the amount of rain the area had received. I walked into the pro shop to pay for my round and the guy behind the counter was having a conversation with another coworker and completely ignored me for a few moments. Once I told him my tee time they told me that they had booked me for the wrong day but if I hurry up I can go off the first tee box before a foursome. The course is not marked so you have no idea where you are going unless you have played there before. The fairways are atrocious. They are beat down and not maintained whatsoever. The tee boxes are a joke. The greens are the best thing this course has to offer and I would rate them a 4/10. Do not waste your money on this course until they learn how to maintain it.

It is unfortunate how bad this course has become. It is June and we have had allot of rain so the course should look good. It does not. I understand that it is a Muni. but I have played this course my whole life and it was so bad on Saturday I am not sure when I will return. My issues are below. 1. They need to get rid of the bunkers, they are NEVER maintained, and I know they do not have the money to support keeping them up. 2. The rough, it had not been cut in days, and Louisville had not had rain in over 5 days, NO EXCUSE. 3. They were cutting the rough while we were there, but instead of cutting just off the fairway, they were cutting under trees. And the y cut one HUGE rough area that was not any part of the golf course it was a space between holes. 4. There is nothing they can do about the fairways, they are Bermuda and that stuff sucks here.

Wanted a pretty easy course to go to. Its enough to be a challenging one for experienced players as it turns out. Wasnt too much to handle but still a challenge. All the greens were in great shape, and tee boxes were in good shape too. But, the fairways were not very good. They were pretty dry, hard, and beat up. No consistent spots of actual grass or green color on almost all of them. If the fairways could be a lot better, itd for sure be a course to go back to, but because fairways are a significant part of golf, Ill be looking for many other local selections that are bound to have much better fairways compared to Shawnee.

Dummy factor on this course is very very high for anyone with even moderate golfing ability... it is quite annoying. Busy holiday was understandable but, two fivesomes on the course and seeing three foursomes stacked on majority of the holes was too much....played 2.5 holes in 1 hour and that was the limit. Provided a weekday only raincheck on a holiday that is good for 60 days...thanks but no thanks.

Absolutely terrible. Unmaintained all over. Looks like they need more landscaping help. Grass all over the cart paths, fairways were dried out, most holes arent even marked. Way too much money to play this course. I will not be back.

The place was okay. Was not very well maintained. Expensive for the quality of course. The cashier overcharged everyone for the golf cart, which was annoying.

There is plenty of space and golf carts is green as the eye can see it is just pretty its more than a golf course you get the feeling of peace there

Great layout. Well cared for in its price range. They should consider making grass bunkers out of the sand bunkers.

Some good holes, shaggy fairways, greens rolled about6-7. $34 with cart. Bring beer and ice and towel.

This is a great course. Played in January it was surprisingly a great course for less than 20$.
