Excellent place to visit. The tour of the house was wonderfully done. Great effort was put into historical restoration. After the tour, the ability to look over the grounds on you own (at your own pace) is fulfilling. A really nice place for families. I would go again. I would check if there is a school group going. We were unable to watch the introduction because of numerous school groups. They did give us the link to watch it, but the experience was not the same.

Great Historical Place to visit. Very well preserved and our guide Hannah was very knowledgeable and she explained very well about ancient customs and culture. Collection of ancient furniture, life style etc. They have paid tour guide and I highly recommend taking one of those. 1 to 2 hour will be enough to explore this place ( Again it depends upon your interest in the history) Free parking and staff was really good and helpful.

great tour, wonderful docent / tour host, elderly lady who was very friendly and knew a lot of the history of the estate and family and could answer even the most minute questions usually. She made the tour very interesting. I dont live in Louisville, but I really enjoyed seeing this historical gem. Im actually related to the family that owned it (George Rogers Clarks), so it had special significance to me.

Xclent visit. Great staff at the entrance, very helpful and friendly. Tour guide distinguished gentleman Bob was so very knowledgeable about the entire site. He explained not only the history of the site but also the history of the times. His explanations of the acquisitions and procurements filled on the missing information. The short train squall will not dampen the spirits of the wedding party there.

Great facility. The grounds are beautiful and the staff has always been great to work with. The museum and house are wonderful but to me the grounds are the best feature of Locust Grove. As a photographer we have shot a few weddings here and I feel it is one of the most photogenic locations in Jefferson County.

Went here on July 4 and got in free. History very well laid out. Beautiful house and grounds, very pleasant staff. Appreciated the reenactors and the reading of the declaration. One of Louisvilles greatest treasures. Love the many events and !!!book sales!!!...Worth frequent return visits.

I took my mother and 2 children (11 & 12). We all had a wonderful visit and highly recommend it to others. Our visit was enhanced by the presence of live characters. We especially enjoyed the presentation in the leather shop. Very realistic and informative!

The only time I have been to Locust Grove is for the Jane Austen festival, but the grounds and the house are very nice and the festival was wonderful. I am not in the Louisville are, but will definitely be making another trip to visit.

Ive been attending LG since I was 3 or 4, and every time I go, I cant help but feel at home. The festivals and the reinactments are my favorite parts, as they are fun and interactive ways to learn about the history of the home.

The museum and the historic house are fabulous to see, but its also great to just wander the grounds, which are officially part of the city park system.

Great reinactors playing roles through the house. Was very interesting seeing them cook a meal in the fireplace.
