Its okay there, the the staff SUCKS. We only visited there twice and twice they treated us like crap. (excuse my language) first time we stayed there, we had the it music pour so we can actually hear it. Later on, a staff comes to us saying "you need to keep it quiet", so my dad said no problem, then the staff walked away swing "mucho gracias" because were tejano. The second time we stayed there, everyone was walking theyre dogs, so our part Pomeranian, part husky mix starts barking, next thing you know, the same guy from the staff tells us "you need to keep it down okay? Down (he said it slowly), as if we barely know how to speak English.

This review is for Turkey Bay Off-roading park. I love Turkey Bay. We travel from Clarksville TN as often as we can to this park for a weekend of part-breaking, lip-puckering fun. They have all their trails marked for difficulty rating, that way you know how much puckering you will have to do. You will most certainly get lost on the endless trails, but thats okay, not all who wander are lost. Bring your atvs, jeeps, and anything with 4-wheel drive. Bring your ENO, tent and hotdogs. Bring whatever you desire. Oh, and bring a spare tie rod, u-joint, drive shaft and some good tools ;)

I have camped, hiked, and explored all over Land Between the Lakes and I love it. It is beautiful, serene, quiet and peaceful. The campgrounds are nice and well spread out. There are lots of side roads to take your vehicle off road and explore. The visitors center is very helpful and has lots of information. They even have a buffalo herd that you can pay and drive through and get right up close to these awesome animals. This is my favorite part of Kentucky, hands down.

The lakes were formed by dams in the TN and Cumberland rivers, and the lakes still smell like muddy river water. I wanted to go swimming but I could barely stand the smell of the water from 30 feet away. There is no way I would have stepped foot in the water. Coming from an area where our lakes are surrounded by beautifuk mountains, the scenic views at LBL didnt do anything for me either.

Awesome, awesome place. The road that goes through the middle of the area is very scenic. There are nature centers, trails, historical sites, campgrounds, and scenic pullovers throughout the park. Many of the trails and campgrounds are located along or near the lakes. There are strict development restrictions within park boundaries so the area has an awesome unspoiled landscape.

Its a huge place with plenty of campsites, far enough from cities to enjoy the stars, quiet, and well kept trails (at least where we visited). There were a few places with ridiculous amounts of trash- one spot had about 30+ beer bottles- but I blame the sorry humans who disrespect nature, not the park. PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES!

There are many campgrounds, boat launches, wildlife observation stations, picnic spots and trails throughout the area. The stars were bright since its not too close to any major city and I could hear the cayotes howling to each other from nearby! It was amazing! Nice and helpful staff at the visitor center. Ill be back.

We stopped here for a break on the road for the kids. The visitor center is nice with planetarium shows off and on through the day. The petting zoo and park was also great for smaller kids to walk around and see various birds and animals. The scavenger hunt was a great activity for our daughter.

We always come here at least once a month during the spring and summer months. We bring our boat and fish at honkers dam and energy. Its so beautiful and peaceful out there, and everyone we meet is friendly. I also enjoy going and seeing the elk and bison before it gets too hot.

I cant wait to come back and hopefully go camping. We walked one a short trail which was nice (except for the huge snake....I hate snakes). We had a picnic right off the lake, too. Then we adventured off the main road to look at some pretty cool and really old graves.

Had a blast, actually got the last back country campsite available at Sugar Bay. Just $7 for 3 days. Dont forget to stop by a welcome or visitors center to get a permit! (First come first serve regardless) Also dont forget your fishing license, a 1 day is super cheap!

Awesome place with lots to do. Went to the bison auction, an enjoyable experience, definitely different than livestock auction. Also ride in the OHV area every fall/winter. Home away from home. I recommend everyone go check LBL out. Theres something for everyone!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Bison and Elk Prairie in LBL. Kids were fascinated to see the Bison up close and roaming. Only saw elk through the trees. On our 2nd trip around, we were held up by a bison blockage. It was too fun

Die Büffelherden sind klein und in einem Gehege eingesperrt - da ist jeder Zoo interessanter.

What fun!! So many trails! Everthing you would imagine a State Park would be...but be very careful my husband and I got deer ticks. The dogs had them too. Other than that it was a good time!

The staffs were very friendly and provided the information we were looking for. The small gift store you can visit to have some momento with you. The price was reasonable.

Excellent education tools at the main pavilion as well as the nature center, mostly manned by volunteers and part time retirees. Everybody is real friendly.

LBL is a rich treasure in Western Kentucky, filled with history and nature. Visit it while you can before they start logging and destroying the place.
