My husband & I attended our first event at the new arena. We went to the PBR event on May 7th & 8th. We had heard prior to going that the seating was awful, but we had already ordered and paid for the tickets. I am 5" 7" and one month out from a partial knee replacement. My husband is 6" 2". We had seats in the PBR fan club section. These are the most expensive seats for this event. We were in section 117, row H on Friday night and section 117, row N on Saturday night. Friday night we were lucky enough to each have an empty seat next to us which allowed us to sit sideways to have some room for our knees but there was a bar on the floor attached to the row of seats just in front of us that took nearly half of the few inches of foot room we had. I was in a lot of pain and extremely uncomfortable the whole time which definitely distracted me so that I could not enjoy the bull riding like I should have. On Saturday, we were unfortunate in that there were no empty seats next to us, so we were forced to sit with our knees bent up directly in front of us. I was in so much pain I almost had to leave, but instead, I gritted my teeth and sat there in misery. The event was not fun that night either. Aside from the narrow seats with no leg room we also had to deal with letting people in and out of our row numerous times which required everyone standing to let someone by. It didnt matter if you were a child, adult, man or woman, you had no other option than to stand up so someone could pass and you still got your toes stepped on and your body shoved backwards. I cannot believe this arena ever opened with the seating problem. I cannot imagine who designed the seating but theres no way this problem wasnt noticed way before the place was ever opened to the public. The concessions for this event were lousy as well. Suffice it to say, that was our first trip to the Intrust Bank Arena and it will also be our last. For the money we spent to attend the event, we were completely ripped off. We have not spoke to anyone thats been to that arena thats had anything good to say about the seating so we can only hope that if it loses enough business they might be forced to address the problem and do whatever it takes to make it right. A refund on our expensive lousy seats wouldnt hurt either.

Dont listen to those negative reviews, those are from 2-3 years ago. Also, a one-star rating is harsh, not even the Kansas Coliseum deserves one star, those reviewers are just being pissy. Management has improved since then. Security can be a little much at times, but after recent events and crises, cant really take too much of a risk. Seating can get a bit packed, but when youve got 15,000 capacity, its to be expected. Im 62, but my knees have never hurt from sitting at any games or concerts. The only gripe is that I have to stand up when people need to get by, but thats minor. Quit buying gourmet nachos and maybe youll fit better. The place is very clean and modern. Lines for concessions and alcohol never take too long. Kansans should appreciate this venue, its how we get to see big time acts. I went to John Mayer on December 1st and had a terrific time. Thats about as big of an act as there is currently touring right now. Id like to see a little more diversity in the acts, but I understand that theyre appealing to the demographic in the area. One other gripe is to not expect great cell phone service inside the bowl part of the arena. Not that I get on my phone much during an event there, but if I need to send a text/make a call, I have to go out to the concourse.

I went to Intrust for the Welcome to the Family Tour concert, with Bullet For My Valentine, Three Days Grace, and Avenged Sevenfold. It was a rock concert. But Intrust wouldnt allow anything. It was almost as though Metallica were making the rules. No moshing, smoking, crowd-surfing, flash cameras, extensive enthusiasm... basically, we had to act as though it were a middle school choir concert. We werent able to show that we were there for ROCK. Security was rude. They searched our pockets, womens purses, whatever they felt like searching, they did. And it wasnt random, it was everyone. They made people take stuff back to their vehicles and get back in the end of the line. It was extremely ridiculous. In order to smok during intermission, they made use walk the entire length of the arena, climb several stairways, just to go out to their designated little square outside. We werent allowed to just go back outside, out of the front entry, and return. It was completely unnecessary. And snacks and drinks were way to expensive. Never again, until the next time...

I attended a show and like many others was VERY disappointed in the seating. I am 64" and am very curious as to where the builders got the stats on the seat design. In the las 50 yrs alone the average height for americans has incressed I feel bad that I will NEVER attend anything else at the arena due to the fact that I wont cripple my self nor invade another persons space just due to the fact I am taller. While the window dressing is nice its unbelieveable that the only way I will ever be comfortable is to buy a Handicap seat those are for people that are truly in need. Airlines, Movie theatres, and many other venues have taken the fact that people in this day and age are taller and yes bigger but guess what they go to shows and sporting events. Big loss to wichita on this way to push guys and I will never go back I will not pay 15 dollars to park my truck. Wish the Colesium was back and running I hate to think of the money I spent there over the last 15 yrs. Well guess that will be saved from now on.

I have been to 2 events here and both times. Long lines, got there 1.5 hours before show and instead of letting people in so we could get seated they held us there way to long before the shows started. They dont know what they are doing, redirecting people to form new lines and then leave them waiting with no one to process the lines. The seats were made for children and not adults. Once the people sat down in front of me my knees were locked into the chair and I could not get out. They want to pack them in like sardines. They offer food service, but how can you eat a meal when there is no room to hold your plate let alone cut your food. They should have looked for the Warren to see how things are done correctly. Space planning is missing. I will not be back to an event there. Will to to KC or OKC.

I have a friend with DIABETES. They refused to let him bring in his "pack" which included some crackers in case he crashes. "He can go to the concession stand" they say. Since when is a person going into diabetic shock able to WALK UP STAIRS to a concession stand? The arena is so greedy, that they are willing to risk someones life to make a few dollars at their concession stand. After this embarrassing fiasco they tell me I cant bring my old SLR camera in, because "its professional." On the ticket it says "no flash cameras"......so doesnt that dis-allow EVERY CAMERA? So I had to go put my camera back in my car. I paid $70 a ticket for this event, mainly so I could get pictures of the original star wars props. SCREW THIS ARENA IM NOT GOING BACK.
