There were 6 of us on the 11th of November who stopped in to sample some of their wines. We knew or felt we were imposing upon entering as the lady behind the counter was very busy getting ready for a wedding. How we knew that was she asked if we were part of the wedding party, never once making eye contact, did ask where we were from. She wanted to know what she could do for us, and again, never smiling or even looking up. Once we indicated we wanted to sample wine, she very briskly told us there was a $5.00 charge per person and if we bought a wine than they would deduct that from the cost. Very reasonable, however, all of us were uncomfortable and said thanks, we can see you are busy and turned to leave. Some man came out of a room and made the comment " there is no free lunch" as we made our way out. That was not the reason we left, we left because we were treated very rudely. We came in when they were getting ready for a wedding. We will never go again and we will continue buying our wine from Hy-Vee in Washington and Fireside Winery outside of Williamsburg.

Wooden Wheel Vineyards & Winery not only has terrific wine, but the people behind the business are what makes it so appealing to those who visit. Mike and Connie pour their hearts and souls into the business, and that is why they make such a great product. Along with the great product, Dean, the man behind the scenes works tirelessly in order to ensure that everything goes smoothly. This place is truly amazing, and if you are ever looking to host an event here, you cannot go wrong! So stop in if you are looking to have a refreshing taste of Iowa wine!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception here last Saturday. There is a beautiful place outside where we planned to have the ceremony, but due to the weather held everything inside instead and it was gorgeous. The owners and staff are so friendly and were great to work with throughout the process of planning and the day of. I cannot say enough about how happy I am with the experience and would recommend this place to anyone. Im already looking forward to going back for our anniversary or sooner!

I went to my good friends wedding here. The place and service was horrible. The power went out and the managers running it wouldnt fix it or help us at all. They actually yelled at the bride about it when it was the managers fault. We spent the whole night in the dark with phone lights and glow sticks. The bride and groom were never given any of the deposit back nor given any apology for being rude and ruinning the happiest day or their lives.

Wonderful Wine, Great People and a BEAUTIFUL facility. Check them out, you will be more than pleased. I enjoyed all of their dry wines, both Reds and Whites. The semi-sweets were excellent as well - and their Cranberry was exceptional. This would be an excellent place hold an event, wedding or reception. The owners, Connie and Mike are most accommodating, and the gift shop is one of the best around.

Our son and daughter-in-law held their wedding ceremony and rehearsal dinner at Wooden Wheel and I cannot imagine a more lovely setting! The Vincents were wonderful to deal with and obviously work very hard to keep the grounds, landscaping, and indoor areas clean, beautiful, and appearing well cared for.

Took a day trip, and stopped in. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Purchased a couple bottles of wine, and had a glass of wine sitting on their deck. Great experience.
