Finkbine is the University of Iowas 18 hole golf course. Located in the heart of the city and just off campus, this course is one to write home about! The par 72 course plays 7100+ yards from the tips w/ a course rating of 74.1 and slope rating of 132. The holes are consistently challenging and make the player think about each shot. The course is surrounded on all sides by roads, but feels very secluded due to the hefty trees that reside here! The course has a good amount of hills, but isnt so hilly that a cart is necessary. Its a great course to walk and on a nice Spring afternoon is hard to beat. The range is ample and a number of practices holes and greens are located just outside the club house. The eatery upstairs serves standard golf fare w/ a surprisingly good BBQ sandwich to boot! A couple of beverage carts circle the paths and will meet you every 3-4 holes. Water is provided on the course and a number of restrooms are located in strategic areas! Range balls are $3 a bucket and club rentals are $30/round and include a sleeve of balls. The rates are very reasonable for what you get and the twilight rate is seriously awesome! If youre looking for a place to come practice, golf with friends or just come and ruin a nice day, this is a good place to do so!

Best course in Iowa city!...well maintained. Super fast greens....cannot be above the hole. You need to play the correct tee boxes for your game. Pace of place is on target.
