I am a Purdue 01 Alumni and had many good times throughout my years on campus at Where Else. I returned this past weekend and things have definitely changed. I have never in my life been treated with such DISRESPECT AND VIOLENCE. I am not sure when it became okay to lay hands on a female or scream at her without a valid reason. I am a professional and have 3 female witnesses to this entire scene. No one could tell us the reason WHY we were asked to leave. The bouncer approached me in a way that was hostile and confrontational. I initially blew it off thinking he was joking around and he then became abusive and threatening backing me into a corner while screaming at me. During the entire incident, his demeanor was extremely combative and I was scared that he was going to physically harm me. Per the website, I was on campus when “Things were good” . I now can see why WHERE ELSE would be hurting for business considering how they treat their paying patrons. If we were endangering ourselves or others, management should have cordially asked us to leave and called a cab. Ladies, this is unacceptable and you may want to reconsider hanging anywhere where male Bar Staff can bully and intimidate women and “get away with it.”

Where else is disappointing. I was asked by their employee Nicole to move seats due to a reservation. I said ok and asked her where I could I sit. She said all seats were taken because of the reservations and I said thats poor customer service not to have a few free seats available and that they most not care about the comfort and enjoyment of all their guest. Nicole said NO we dont care about your comfort nor enjoyment. I asked for her mangers number because I was not sure why Nicole made that statement towards me. When the Manger came Nicole started yelling, lied and said she told me to move and I didnt. I had moved a few feet away but I was surrounded by employees trying to figure out what happened so I could not move too far. I told the manger I thought she was discriminating against me and he told me to leave. REALLY? All I wanted was a seat

They have a few good bartenders that have worked there awhile, but the newer bartenders are terrible. The worst part about this bar is the bouncers think they work in the movie roundhouse. I have watched them shove people to the ground, scream at customers, and then not ask people, who are thier friends, to leave when they break the rules. A friend of mine is the process of suing Where Else for injury he sustained when they threw him out the front door and broke his front teeth just because he was too drunk. I say stay away! Go to bars where the employees are professional. Quarter beers just arent worth it.

If youre in West Lafayette. Where Else should be your last resort stop. The drinks are weak, the floor is unbelievably dirty and sticky, the bouncers are some of the extremely unprofessional and have attitudes like they cant wait to start a fight or throw people out. They seem to get off on assaulting patrons. Youd figure at least the bartenders would be nice (hoping for tips) but even they are unfriendly and make it seem like youre a nuisance asking them for a drink. The only reason to go to Where Else is if Harrys, Jakes, and Brothers have lines out the door and dont want to wait.

It is hard to describe the particular allure of Where Else Bar. There is something that I can only describe as slightly out of control about Where Else every time Ive gone. It was usually the place where at least a third of my crazier nights started to go crazy. Though the bar is much like any other, Where Else has a solid dance floor where friends and strangers alike can mingle and get to know each other...to varying degrees. If you want a solid bar to maybe kick off a little crazy, this would be a great place to stop by in the course of your night.

Attention European citizens. If you are touring around USA you will not be allowed into this place. Though theres no need for you to hold a Visa to tour around up to 90 days, the "smart guys at the door" and the manager himself would still ask you for one. If you do not hold one (whats pretty redundant since you do not need one right?) they will not let you in.

One of the worst bars that you can go to. This bar used to be O.K. at the old location, however, now that it has moved across the street it is the definition of a "dive" bar. Last time I was at the bar the place was absolutely trashed, bad drinks, loud music, and very bad dancing. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this bar.

Sticky floors! Went there gran prix saturday and it was horribly packed. Good place to go if you like women in mini dresses and high heals, some of the finest in lafayette. Many from illinois though, funny accent, da bears. Poured my guiness from the tap wrong. Left cup straight up so I had a half hour wait for the foam to subside.

Just went to their new location last night in Chauncey square. Its VERY small. Wall to wall people. Slippery floors. Other than that....the drinks are good if you drink straight liquor like me lol. Its the only place to dance on campus....make out sessions all around so why not go to Where Else? lol

Music great... drinks okay... workers maturity level that of a preschooler..... workers drive people away they think because they work at this bar it gives them power to treat customers any way they like well thats false... will never revisit the where else bar. Try to stay professional, seriously!

Theyre racist. They wouldnt let a person in because he was Asian and didnt have a student ID. They claimed it was a rule after 2am. He was in front of me and the bouncer let me in with only a license and a credit card.

Liked: Value, Customer Demographic, Great Bartenders; Disliked: Lack of drink selection (pales in comparison to 9 Irish Brothers), over zealous bouncers, sticky floors, tiny bathrooms, and a leaky ceiling.

If you are looking for to score some ecstasy, this is the place. They are known for their drug induced dance parties. They are actually pretty fun unless you upset a bouncer in any way.

What is up with the music? There are no upsides to this bar. Terrible drinks, bad prices, no atmosphere, and music that sounds like your six year old cousin decided to DJ your wedding.

If you like sticky floors, rude bartenders, nasty bathrooms, and porn on the tvs than this is the bar for you. I was there for the first and last time last night and hated it.

Dont offer food, hire complete idiots as bouncers, have bad DJs, dont give a care about customers as long as they are getting paid by others

Why even have contact info? No one is available to answer the phone. Other than that music is pretty good.
