Live in the city, played a round at Deerfield Golf Club a month ago. Course is definitely nice, but not what I would consider great. Augusta it aint, yet the members (guys who pay for year round tee times) and staff act as if it is. Greens are not in the greatest of shape, but I assume theyll get better at some point this spring. Biggest complaints include the cost ($70 with cart - not close to being worth that much), and the staff. The rudest staff of all the various courses Ive played in the Chicago land area. Final straw was being hounded by the starter to pick up the pace after our front nine even though we played the front nine at a 2 hour, 10 minute clip! The starter further seemed perturbed that we had the nerve to take 7 minutes at the turn to grab 2 beers, a hot dog, and one take out sandwich....which cost somewhere around $30, no less. My advice - save yourself some $, and play elsewhere where youll be treated like a customer, not a trespasser.

This is for the restaurant. One of the worse fish fry meals I have had - everything tasted like cheap fast food. The fish was greasy, the fries were hard/re-fried, coleslaw was mushy. And the service didnt help the experience - the waitress doesnt have the right personality or manners to take care of guests.

The course is good, not great for a public fee course, but I was really impressed with the practice facility. I hadnt been to Deerfield in years, and, while Im sure Ill play there again, I will definitely be back to practice and to take my kids to practice.

One of the best courses/values on the north shore, in my opinion. Course has good length and is a challenge if you play the back two sets of tees. Awesome training center with an excellent range.

Good golf course. Practice facility is great and the course is too. It doesnt suit just anyones golf game. Cuts and draws are both required
